SY250 one does not fit, and I've snapped my TY125 one, as you know they are not very flexible ! - but at least you can plastic weld them. I have e-mailed Scorpa France and apparently they are working on a 'competition' rear mudguard, due in September. Thought about making a hybrid (half TY125 over the airbox, half SY250 at the back plastic welded on), but decided just to stay with the standard one.
Apart from that, great little bike, well pleased with it.

Brian,
looks good, I'll have to find out if there is a UK distributor.

Done a few trials on mine now, Clutch is not necesarrily heavy, just a bit on/off.
I know there are mechanical mods being done (lengthen arm etc) as well as some hydraulic mods, however Im not at the stage yet where the clutch is dropping me marks. Mainly it's getting used to the power, where it comes in, and thinking ahead in sections. It really will do almost anything, just you have to be thinking ahead.
Certainly my marks have'nt got worse from moving from a GG Pro 250 (but I am a crap rider !) - Now I'm starting to get used to it, I'm sure I will be no more of a skilled rider, but my marks will be less.

p.s and there is a certain satisfaction cleaning secions, then seeing people on 2 stroke 250/280's struggle !!!!

I ride easy route, and to be honest, if I'm still riding easy route in 20 yrs time (Im 37 now) I'll be over the moon !
My summary
Easy - Read ' quite challenging for a beginner, nice ride out for your average rider who wants a good day out - still astounded by the skill of blokes 20 yrs older than me on this route !'
Middle - Read 'Looks quite tricky, mainly the ambitious youths, or older experts'
Hard - Read ' There's no way I'm going to throw myself at that! - do you realise I've got a wife, kids, mortgage etc !!'
Tongue in cheek assessment - honest !!

Glenn,
Nightmare mate, been there with my 03. Tried for hours.
In the end, replaced the bolt with a length of studding sticking out past the swinging arm, put the assembly on, followed by a thin bolt, studlocked then cut off the excessing studding (if you follow !)
Not ideal, will never make taking it off again any easier, but it worked and lasted 9 months with no problems before the bike was replaced.
I was the same, only took it off as I was servicing the suspension !!
Linkless suspension - now that's an idea, no servicing !!
maybe add a little 4 stroke motor, possibly a freely available 125 engine,
Lets ditch the radiator & fan,
is there a market !!

1 - Mild kitchen cleaner for the engine & mechanicals - not sure where it's from, I get mine from the kitchen cupboard, my wife gets it from Tesco I think !
2 - Good old fairy liquid for the plastics
3 - Never ever use a power wash, simple hose and brush
4 - when complete, dry of excess water & start up to evaporate from hard to dry places.
5 - Very liberal dose of WD40 everywhere
6 - Remember to try the brakes before section 1 of your next trial.
This is what I've used, cheap effective & my bike looks good !

Gary (Windlestone),
the four of us who went down in Jan are planning next year. Same seats (class view), overnight stay, excellent 2 days.
The more the merrier !

I've 'toned down' the back mudguard with some blue and black carbon fibre effect decal sheet. It detracts from the expanse of white, and protects the plastic from scratches.

Had mine a month or so now, moved from a GG Pro 250 (03), which is the bike that I effectively started competing in Trials on after 13 yrs of MX.
Tremendous little bike.
Good and Bad points (please bear in mind I am very much an 'easy course' rider - nothing too difficult !)
Good Points
1 - The power is so user friendly. In rocky streams etc, you just stick it into 1st, and it'll go over anything. Let it find it's grip, and it will.
2 - Simplicity - Bog standard engine which runs like a sewing machine. No radiators etc etc.
3 - Build quality - first class (apart from the little clips that everyone uses now to bolt the subframe to the main frame - makes re-assembly a 2 man job - but the GG Pro was the same !)
4 - Some people say underpowered, but I find that the 'uderpower' of the bike gets you into less trouble and makes it more tractable.
5 - Looks and sounds beautiful.
6 - Cost - A new bike with all the road bits & pieces (if you want them) for under

Every MX'er I've had, I used the same 'lean it over, wait till you smell petrol, then fire it up' trick - worked on everything from '75 elsinore through to 90's CR250.
I had a problem starting my 250 GG Pro (03), but the problem was when the engine was hot. Traced the problem to incorrect float height - seemed to cure the problem, but was always wary of stopping the bike at the furthest section from the pits, and it not starting. Caught me out before I traced the float height problem - bloody long way back pushing a bike !
