Just taken the front wheel out of my 1999 315R. There is a collared spacer on the disc side of the axle, but nothing on the other side. Just wondered as the axle does not sit flush with the forks on the right side. It is actually about 1/4inch in on the bottom fork clamp.
Thanks

Starting at the back with the refurbishment of my 315r, I replaced the rear wheel bearings and discovered I have 4 spokes missing....oooer!
Can anyone tell me where I can find a wheelbuilder who can replace them for me. Tried Wildes at York, but he doesn't keep the Montesa spokes.
Thanks

That's right, it was Simon and Daz who saw to me.
Pass my regards and thanks on to him next time you see him.
Only wish the hospital had been as efficient as the Paramedics and the staff in A& E.
Hopefully should not need the helicopter again whilst trialing.....But you never know.

Started work in ernest on my old nail today. Removed rear wheel bearings, replacing tomorrow. Ordered various bits from Woosters at Leeds, namely the bushes that fit in the swinging arm for the chain tensioner, front brake lever and an air filter to start with.
Looking like I have to do the rear suspension linkage bearings too. Did this on my CRM and it was a b.
Going to change the gear oil. Found the filler next to the clutch slave cylinder, my question is, is there a level plug for the gearbox oil.
If so where is it?
If not how much oil do I put in it?
Also I have some Silkolene light gear oil which I used for the CRM every oil change with no problem, so it should be ok for the 315.
What do you think?
Found this on the net, don't know if you've seen it before, if you have here it is again.

Hi Paul, accident happened just above Scar House Res.
Involved helicopter and a bloody cameraman from the BBC.
My incident was featured in the series Helicopter Heroes.
!5 minutes of fame I could have done without.
Seem to be well on the mend now though.
Managed a trip to Spain on the Triumph 2 up last August, and coincidentally set off on the anniversary of my'off'.

Hi, I'm Tommy from Yorkshire.
I used to do a lot of greenlaneing, but had a major 'off' last year, breaking my back, sternum, clavical and a couple of ribs.
This ended in a helicopter ride from the moors near Pateley Bridge to Harrogate Hospital.
Want to get back to full fitness as I really miss the muddy stuff.
So I've bought an old nail Montesa 315.
Needs a bit of work doing to it, but hey that's half the fun.
My logic being that this will help exercise the muscles I use offroad (Hate gyms).
Also not a lot of speed involved when things go wrong, and knowing me they will!
Also got a couple of road bikes, a Triumph Sprint ST and a CCM 644 Supermoto.
Ride safe guys

Just bought this bike. Seller very vague as to exact model, only that it is a 300cc. 2000 model.
I would like to know in order to get parts as the machine requires a bit of fettling.
