I had the same problem,years ago,and it was the condencer.Try what feetupfun said.It will work with the old plugs when they are cold.New condencer and new points and your bike will run for ages again.

You need a NGK B7 ES,that is the right plug not a 5 ES.

The enginecases of the Italjet trilas bikes are all old stuff from ducati just down the rod.After Hailwoods win 1978 on the IOM they stopped the 2 sroke production of the 125 Six Days and sold the stuff to their neighbours in Bolongna.Just to let you know.

Hey sqid,easyest thing is what i did with my TY 175.Put a TY 250 tank on it polish the alloy and you have a very nice classic look.Here is my Ty 175 with the 250 alloy Tank,not polished.

Wash and clean them with water and then put normal leathergrease on the complete boot.They will least for ages and the grease will keep the leather soft.
