I can agrre with "Superhondaman"ridden nearly all Manx 2 Day Classictrials since 1996(only missed 2007)for me the best Trial ever.Done both classes pre 65 and Twinshock,it is a real challenge for rider and machine.

Yes,it was the same guy who later worked for Yamaha.I'am not shure but it could be that Barry Sheene had also one of the 450 KT's.

Alan,he was looking for a manual for a 1988 Ty,at that time the Yams had monoshock. This manaul is for twinshock DT enduro bikes.@CakeOpie,try your local yamaha dealer.

I would go for the condensor as B40Rt says,i hab it a few times on old Yams.Starts easily and when it was hot and you want to sratr again no chance.New cold plug and it fired up again. It was the condesnsor.

I did that Trial a lot times, last time in 2006 on my Matchless and it is great fun.A few brits had done it also a few times. You ride the whole day in groups. The groups up to 6 people are for example, group one only Bultacos, group 2 only riged bikes, group 3 only Triumph Twins etc.So you can have a good chat with all riders about bikes and preparation etc.well taht little Honda in that "Mudhole"got 185cc,we have a few Z

Dalesman,
have a look on Ebay germany, there is a complet kit for sale,Barrel,Head and Piston for buy it now for 200 Euros.
Chrs:Mike
-
Hi Dalesman,
well in 175 is no problem,in ouer country the 175 was never sold only the 125 with a 175 kit,so if you find a barrel and a piston it is no problem to covert it in 175.

Blocky,Alan is from the USA so he only knows that Twinshock yamahas are silver and yellow, not like ouer's here in europe.

Boge was a german company in Eitorf near Cologne and Bonn. They have made all the shocks for the BMW motorbikes and other german brands during the "Twinshock"era.Boge then was overtaken by ZF Sachs. If you go on the ZF website you will find links to the shock's.

First thank's everybody for that quick repley. So i can have a look for yz 125 Clutchcovers. For the 250 we have to see.@monoped:Well,the thing with the parts numbers on Yam's is not that easy then on Kawa's.The truble with the Yam parts numbers is that if it is the same spare part for a othe bike, they will also have a differnet parts number.I can not understnd that system. So for example,if i go to the local Yam dealer and wanted to order clutch plates for a TY 250 the Computer says no.If i want to order the plates for a XJ 550 road bike, the computer says yes.Same part and cheaper price, but different number. So sometimes it is good to know that they put the same parts in other bikes.

Hi there,
has anyone tryed a Yz 125 Clutchcase on a TY 175 or a Yz 250 Clutchcase on a TY 250.It must be the aircooled yz modell from 1976-1978.They look nice, because they have no oilpumpcover.Anyone got an idea.

Yes this are all trials for the Eurocup 2010,due to the finacel Crise to save money.Well, all trials count for the championship,if you miss one you have to count more points in the less trials then your rivals.Yes there will be a trial in Italy and Aywaille but they do not count anymore for the championship.

Here you can see the final standings of the Eurocup for pre 65 and Twinshock.

Hi KiwiAde,for a 7 and 9 year old they are not bad,but i would go for the TY 89,for a 17 and 19 year old i would go for a TY 175 or Ty 250.

I absolutly agree with feetupfun and mattylad. The cantilever Ossa and Yam are warmly welcome to any Twinshock event.Like the MX and Enduro Boys do,they are allowed to ride the Catileverbikes like the Yamaha's and Kramer's(Twinshock Cantilever)in the Twinshockclass.Remeber NSU Max,the road bike was a cantilever in 1953-1958,but a lot of people convert it into a twinshock. So today no problems in the pre 65 class. What about a Vincent or a Imme?In ouer Country the have maybe some stupid rules in the Classicscene. It is not allowed to ride a mono converted in a twinshock.Full stopp. If you ride a Enfield, you have to ride in the Twinshockclass, because of the fork.Frontleading axel.I know that it was original, but i do not make the rules. So this is a bit stupid. If you ride a bike with a watercooled engine,it is not allowed even in Twinshock or pre 65.There are manufactures who had watercooled engines, like sachs and z
