  1. here's the pic along the lines of the t-ride idea
  2. try my translation it makes a bit more sense. Workers and management ratify the draft agreement, which involves loss of 180 employees Today Tuesday the 22 of December workers of Montesa Honda have ratified with a 84.67% of the votes the Draft agreement reached between the Director of the company and the Committee of Company. This Draft agreement is the result of the announced negotiations on the 16 of October with a view to reorganizing the business The preliminary agreement ratified by workers of Montesa Honda lead the company's loss of 180 employees through early retirement and voluntary redundancies. The conditions for the redundancies will be an award of 55 days per year worked, plus a variable. Likewise, the company also offers the option of re-employment with special conditions 15 in the second quarter of 2012 From 1 April 2010, Honda will continue to produce Montesa Cota Trials model, and injection and painting plastic parts for motorcycles
  3. and if they start going on about single vehicle approval (sva) or some other test - msva, i think - that they can do tell them its a trials bike as these and enduro bikes are specifically exempt from these test. most local dvla offices are fine but you'll sometimes get one that gets a little confused. if you got any questions just pm me as i've reg quite a few bike over the years and just did my new enduro bike last week
  4. ditto whats been said about them on a 315
  5. its not actually a carbon fiber tank. its plastic with carbon effect stickers on it. at least mine is.
  6. the only problem i see is that unless people are relatively keen to get into trials then they aren't going to hang around no matter how we glam it up or reach out, the fact it is such a skillful sport, even at low level does put people off. compared to trials any numpty can get on a mx bike or enduro bike and could ride around the course sat on their ass all day long. cant do that in trials. the upside is the cost. when i went to a trial and heard a bit of complaining that the entry had gone up
  7. mmm. curiouser and curiosor. mine's a 97-98 but doubt that it makes any difference. got to order some spare spokes so think ill see about getting the correct spacers and some circlips.
  8. 315 transmission can anyone with a 315 have a look at theirs and tell me if the sprocket set-up matches that on the link above. ie circlip, splined washer, sprocket, splined washer, circlip, thrust washer mine only has the two circlips, one splined washer and the sprocket. yet everything is secure and there doesnt seem to be room for the rest. so is the diagram wrong or has a previous owner done something to mine. if yours is the same as mine should the single splined washer be inboard or out of the sprocket. i ran it outside at the last trial and the sprocket has worn on the inside so i'll try it one the inside on the next ride to see if this lines things up better.
  9. sticking supersprox into a search engine got me a load of hits including the european home site where you can order direct. suggest you do that as the first step in your search.
  10. I've done it a couple of times. mostly the clubs i did it with had bibs but on the one we just had the numbers on cards and kept swapping them on the front of the bike. (though the other rider was better than me so now and again i'd forget to swap the card over)
  11. have a word at the mot station about what they'll accept. when i did mine as mentioned above it was the actual MOT tester who said to do it. I think the regs just say the frame has to have the number on it. doesn't say where or how.
  12. one thing i've done with the enduro bike is got a engraver to put the number onto one of the stickyback name plates they put on awards then stuck it to the frame. cost about
  13. what ever it is it does look rather tidy. similar idea to the scorpa.
  14. will probably face the same issues as semi auto clutches like the rekluse. people scoff and write them off until they actually try it then find actually it does work

    Flappits

the reporter didnt seem to know whether to say trails or trials and seemed to mix up the two on a couple of occasions. what we see in that report is the usual thing of everything getting lumped together, similar to tidy riders beign tar'd with the same brush as pain in the ass anti-social riders.
  16. since when has a 125 exc only had 11hp? got a feeling this may go the way of the ktm 2 wheel drive and the x-bow car.

  18. i've recently been looking to get some boots and whilst talking to my local dealer i asked about the stone 3's and he advised me not to bother for the exact reasons you've stated.
  19. when did you change it last and how much work has it done since the last change? i've had grey oil out of bikes before now and its just down to it being old.
  20. did a 6ft one the other day and dont mind them as long as there is some run out. that one does look rather big though
  21. i have recently seen a club offering reduced kids entries and also possibly reduced family entries. think it was south shropshire but not certain. coming from enduros i laughed at my first trial when people where complaining that the entry had gone up

    Rear Sprocket

10 / 40 was standard for the first couple of years of the 315, then it changed to 10 /42, dont know if there was any internal gearbox changes. just buying a chain and sprocket for my 97/98 bike and was advised to go for the 10 /42 combo.
  23. 360ml in each leg is right as iwas looking at my '98's manuel last night
