  1. I believe PEMs sold all the fanny stuff they had. Bill Pye has everything you need. pistons, Kickstarts etc etc.

The rear linkage will have play, 70 quid odd for a bearing set. Ff the dogbongs are worn out that will be about 120 on top. Make sure the sump guard is good and all engine mounts are and remain tight. Outherwise the rear engine mount on the swingarm pivot will break. Only a few people can weld this because off the magnesium content.. Classictrial for example.

Virtually bulletproof motor, the piston will start to rattle even when fairly new. Big windows and ports and all that.

frames that had a hard life (all off them??) do bend and crank almost anywhere or everywhere.

Shock is top from marzopcchi and is rebuildable

Ignitions are rewindable, ht coils are available new as are the bearings. Look after those crankcases and it will go on forever.

Thanks Lee i couldnt have asked for more. ;)

  2. Possible purchase of a 307 can anyone tell my what these bike are like, reliable? are spare parts still available. Good points/bad points. What kind of price would you expect to pay for a 90/91.

  3. Well I changed my mind again and picked up a Beta Rev3 year 2000 ;) I'm off out on Sunday with some of the lads to have a play and get the feel for the bike :D

Picture???? Can i ask what you paid for it?? Looking for one myself, Have you had chance to ride it yet?

  4. Bikes of that era are not popular at the moment.

Late model bikes and Classic and Twinshock are popular and there are classes and events that cater for them. That Gas Gas would be much harder to ride than a modern bike and there is no separate class for that age bike. There is an air-cooled monoshock class in some places but it has not really taken off yet. There are better air-cooled monos than late 1980s Yamahas.

Any examples of which bikes to choose from, i have lost track of the trials scene with being away from it for so long.

  5. Il try here had no response from the other threads.
