  1. Its not true, just sour grapes from another Beta rider Betas are heavy and low on power so get over it
  2. Hi Go to back cowm quarry Rochdale/whitworth, just google cowm leisure for details. Chris
  3. Gas Gas riders will say buy a gasser and Beta riders will say buy a Beta , try to find a local club and see if you can arrange a ride on both bikes as trials types are a friendly bunch. No matter which bike you buy you will have a great time on it as its all about fun and having a go
  4. Hi I have a Raga rep 300 05 model and its great, very light and easy to ride and parts supply in the uk is excellent i have had a go on a few other bikes but they dont compare to the gasser.

  6. Hi I have managed to find a fix for the ongoing gas gas boy ignition problems,i have repaired my sons bike and his friends and we have had no problems after much testing and the parts are readilly available .I am not offering to carry out the mod or sell you the parts as i seemed to suffer a fair bit of abuse and negative comments from forum members last time i tried to help . for the information sheet email me at racing50chris@aol.com Any negative comments please keep them to yourself as i only deal in the positive
  7. After a few months practice i found smaller bikes lacking ,the gas gas 300 only produces the power you want it to the more you turn the throttle and it wont take long for a rider to be able to tame one i do find that going very slow is a problem for me on the 300 as i need to use the clutch quite a bit and smaller engined bikes seem to have the ability if geared right to go at sub walking space with ease without transmission snatch.Best of luck with your search and ride as many bikes as you can for as long as possible before you buy. regards
  8. I have just started back in trials and the last time i competed was 1981 my current trials bike is a 2005 raga rep 300 gas gas and it is excellent
  9. Please tell me no one will be taken in by this ad
  10. Hi A good bearing factor will be able to supply a bearing using the dimensions . Chris
  11. It looks like a plain alloy swing arm in the pics,i thought all raga reps had a mag swingarm
  12. Funny that,i was told the same about Beta trials bikes except for the bit about being light
  13. Great little bike ,have fun for information and parts you cant beat gas gas uk and of course this forum.
  14. Hi What bike do you ride ? when doing a tight turn i tend to slip the clutch so i can be as slow as possible and smooth out the power. Most of all have fun ,ride with a buddy if possible and have a look at ryan youngs DVD,s these are expensive but worth every penny.
  15. Hi Thanks for the info Jon i will order one asap
  16. Thanks for the information and having looked at my bike and mine has the black and orange wire two stage system. Chris
  17. Thanks for the advice, i will have a look under the tank and investigate further. chris
  18. If you have a gas gas boy with an ignition problem and would like to replace the system and need help email me at racing50chris@aol.com and i will do my best to help out,the parts are from a Polini gp3 race bike but they need minor mods to make them fit and you need to fit a coil to power the fan.if i get enough interest i may produce a how to manual on fitting a new ignition system. Is there enough interest ?
  19. I recently purchased an 05 300 Raga rep and seem to remember reading about a programable ignition system,so my question is did i dream it and does my bike have it ?

    Gasgas 270

    Trialspartsusa should have one .
  21. Hi Yes i have now have a full working system and even have a charging circuit to work the cooling fan
  22. Reliability of the system is not in question as i have sourced and slightly modified some stock components from another machine and other than minor mods the system a straight forward replacement either way the main objective has been met as it means my son can now ride his bike
  23. Well dude i am not sure if i get your drift i have a good career as a lecturer in engineering so i dont have to peddle my wares on this site or any other,i was just wishing to pass my knowledge and experiance onto other owners of the gas gas 50, i am quite happy to withdraw the offer of helping out owners who may be having issues with the txt 50. Regarding becoming a TC member i will give it some thought ,does it mean i will get the code to unscramble you your post ? I have had some time to think over my offer to help out other txt50 owners and have decided to withdraw it,i am a member of a number of other bike forums and thought that the idea was to support/help and work on tech issues with like minded riders and not to suffer the complete nonsense posted by likes of copemech.best of luck to txt50 owners in the future and perhaps copemech can offer you a solution
  24. Hi thanks for the reply,i am investigating a permanent repair by throwing all of the gas gas electrics in the bin and developing a whole new system for the gas gas boy.i should have some news within the next week for any gas gas 50 owners who want a long last cure to this on going issue .Shame gas gas could not bother to do the same as they are otherwise an excellent little bike.I have no complaints with gas gas uk as they have been more than helpfull with information and buy all my parts for my 350 from them.
  25. Hi Yes i have checked all the items listed and i am not slagging off just stating facts , i have been riding/racing bikes for 35 years and my bikes have never failed to start or breakdown.gas gas uk told me the ignition system is unreliable and a complete nightmare so my sons bike and neighbours bike have become expensive ornaments for them to sit on in the garage and push around .I have a gas gas 350 trials bike and cant praise it enough but after the problems we are having with these two small bikes you can understand my disapointment, both lads have not even had a chance to ride the bikes,a great introduction to trials ? i think not.
