  2. New econo Sherco, click here Thoughts? I think it is a good effort by Sherco to try and sell some bikes while relieving a bit of inventory. Maybe it's an effort to combat Xispa, same modle but genuine Sherco parts at the same price point? Hope it works for them.
  3. it's not how long it is... it's how you use (ride) it.

  6. Hope this get derailed shortly... From : Racer X website Proposed 100% Tax on European Motorcycles: AMA fights possible 100 percent tariffs on certain European motorcycles Dec 8 2008 12:15PM The AMA announced today that it has written to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative opposing a plan that could double the cost of some European motorcycles imported into the United States. The plan being considered by U.S. trade officials would impose a 100 percent import duty on more than 100 European goods -- including two engine displacement categories of motorcycles, 51cc to 250cc, and 251cc to 500cc. The federal measure is designed as retaliation to the 27-member European Union's continuing import ban on American beef treated with growth hormones. EU officials haven't lifted that 20-year-old ban, despite a World Trade Organization (WTO) order to end it. If U.S. officials impose the retaliatory tariff, it would double the price of a host of under-500cc on- and off-highway machines from brands such as Aprilia, Beta, BMW, Fantic, Gas Gas, Husaberg, Husqvarna, KTM, Montesa, Piaggio, Scorpa, Sherco, TM and Vespa. "There is no logical link between European motorcycles and the dispute over beef," said Ed Moreland, AMA vice president for government relations, in his comments submitted to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. "Imposing these stiff tariffs on motorcycles would do nothing to resolve the trade dispute, but would punish American buyers of European motorcycles." The AMA's comments make a strong argument that motorcycles have no business being used as a lever in a dispute over beef. "Trade disputes residing concretely within the boundaries of the agricultural industry should not be resolved with trade sanctions levied against non-agricultural products," Moreland said. "A 100 percent ad valorem, or higher, tariff on these motorcycles will cause serious and potentially irreversible harm to American small- and medium-sized business owners selling the vehicles. Additionally, citizens will be denied access to certain models of competition and recreation motorcycles that contribute to the lifestyle and well-being of millions of American families." The United States wants to impose $116.8 million in import duties to equal the amount of money it claims the U.S. beef industry loses each year because of the ban. The WTO has agreed on that amount. Interested parties have until Dec. 8 to comment on which European goods should be subject to the 100 percent tariff in the dispute. It is unknown when U.S. officials will make a final decision.

  9. What is the expected turn out? How many expert do you anticipate? Thinking of coming down from MN.
  10. I am hoping to once again receive some valuable insight to a problem I am having. A friend of mines' '03 rev-3 is dieing on him. If the bike is ridden non-stop for over an hour or so it will just die. No spark. Let sit for maybe a half hour or so..... it will start. This is a sporadic problem, not consistent. But continues to happen. Any thoughts? Thanks.
  11. well James, i backed her off a notch and it spins much better now. the measurement is now 14mm. It does have room to move further in as well. so much for trying to do something "by the book". thanks everyone
  12. Thanks for that advice Bob, I will keep an eye on that block for wear. Currently it is fine. And yes I am spininning it forwards. Also, I may have expained poorly, but it spins real nice by just taking pressure off of the tensioner and leaving the chain on. Maybe this is normal. Has anyone spun thear wheel latly? Thanks for all the help everyone.
  13. did you try calling Ron? Ron Commo Jr/Sr C&G Sales / Beta Usa 7204 Rt. 7 PHONE 802-425-2081
  14. Thanks Kinell, Wheel spacers and cam adjusters are correct. After reviewing your post I pulled the whole caliper off. It still dragged. I then manuelly held the chain tensioner down, ( to take tension off). The wheel then spun freely. Could it be just becouse it is a new spring? When adjusted to the books spec, it is really tought. Any more ideas, or is this normal? If I give it a good spin it freely makes about 3/4 of a turn. With the chain tensioner held down it does about three. ????
  15. I had my rev-3 dismantled for a few weeks while fix / upgrading/ replacing a few parts. One item I replaced was the chain tensioner spring. After cleaning, lubing and replacing the chain and the new tensioner I adjusted according to the manual. It said to adjust to 20mm between the top of the adjuster and the swing arm. Ok, so I did that. Now the wheel drags more than before. Keep in mind my adjuster was way out of whack before and thus my chain was way loose. Is this drag normal? I cannot freely spin the wheel while the bike is sitting on a stand. I appreciate any responses. Thanks Chad
  16. Does anyone have a new or used 2000 rev-3 mud guard they wish to sell? Or if another year fits, and you have one of those, I don't mind a differant color. Broke her off this weekend.
  17. Sorry. It's a 2000 not a 2001.
  18. I have a '01 rev-3 250. I can't seem to keep the clutch from dragging. I know I have bled it properly, and have adjusted the throw on the lever asymbly. When I pull the clutch in I can fell when it actually starts to disengage the plates, (about two thirds into the pull). What gives?
