  1. Hi Biff. It just goes straight up. You might see a little notch like thing on the part that the cam cover goes on. The flywheel will have a mark on it to line up with the case. Get it on TDC and take a look. 0 on the top of the cam sprocket. Pay attention to the way the chain tensioner works, it's counter intuitive.
  2. Careful John, we may take you up on that!
  3. 0 line (top class) Podium
  4. Hi Chris, I'm sure if we want we can approach Dan with a new naming of the classes. I'm thinking 7 year old champ class etc. For those that don't know.... The new format allowed for kids to ride a lower line than the top class for their age. We had Youth A - Youth E for the top classes based on age, and Youth Advanced, Intermediate, Novice, and Beginner for kids that didn't want to ride the hardest line for their age. I think it's a great format and allowed more kids to ride in the competition without riding "over their heads".
  5. Been there done that!!!
  6. There's a bit of caution here. Use the wrong points eccentric and you'll have a weak spark. It's designed for a bike with a battery. CB motors have the stators on the outside of the flywheel, XL's and TL's are on the inside under the flywheel. TL cam's are shorter and ground different than motors with CDI. One piece or two piece heads. Gearing different, splines on the crank different. Taper on the crank.... Cases for the 185 and 200 changed. As far as the exhaust, I love the Sammy Miller one. If you have a K1 you'll need to shorten it. Sounds sweet and works great. After I installed mine I haven't had the coughing problem. Knock wood.
  7. That little Cadet was a nice looking little bike. I wonder if there are some porting issues with the 50/70 Gas Gas motor for trials. I'm sure that motor is a Morini designed for MX. Vee Rubber tires looked and felt MILES ahead of the Chen Shins.
  8. As far as growing Homer surely gets his balance from his mama so if he gets his size from her he might remain small. Nah, you just need to feed him. His brother is pretty tall. I didn't see ya'll at the red light in Jasper until you'd already made the corner. What size motor is in your minivan?
  9. I've use Corel all the time and have cut out a lot of pictures for laser engraving. I can work on it if you want but it sounds like Swooshdave can get r done.
  10. Homer really rides well. In a year or so he's going to get some size to him and be amazing. He loves to ride and I think that's going to be the key. Even little sister did a great job.
  11. Try to jump start the fan by flicking the blades with your finger once it's warmed up.
  12. We'll we made it through another one. These kids are amazing. Good isn't good enough! Got to see friends from far away lands and meet new ones. We need SIRHC to post a picture of his Montesa, (beautiful bike Chris). The kids riding the 1 line where quite an emotional bunch this year. They are all so compeditive (Mich lins word) and can be very hard on themselves. The Mizell kids are not just great riders but great kids too. Jacob had a birthday on Sunday and as he was on the podium the entire crowd sang happy birthday to him, pretty cool. I got to see David doing a nice long wheelie with a BIG surprise at the end, seems he didn't find his rear brake pedal in time, ouch. Josiah won the open line again taking home another Eagle. Zeke came in second on the C line. Caleb was 5th on the open line and David won Youth Advanced riding the 1 line. I think the sections were harder this year then in the past but the loop was nice and easy and very spectator friendly. You could walk to a place and check out 4 or 5 sections, it may have not helped with longer ques but it was super for pedestrians. Since I was paying close attention to the 1 line I think it was on par with a STRA Advanced line for the most part. I think we have several kids that will be competing in the World Rounds in the future. Chime in and tell us what you thought about the Youth Nationals and Womens Open this year.
  13. Oceanvibe, Does it still have the stock exhaust?

Thanks G4321, I wasn't aware of that. You learn something everyday. I guess my brain has the rest of the day off!
  15. Sorry but LOL. Yes, the flywheel runs in oil. Check your valve clearances, try to run on half choke when warm just to see what it does. I think I use a D8ES (non resistor). Sounds like by your jetting it's a 1976. If all else fails, try the earlier jetting of 95 main 38 idle. Plugs .026" Points .014" Valves Intake & Exhaust .002"
  16. We've got a 2.5, nice bike.
