Here's a picture of my son Jordan and me and a couple other
folks. I'm the big fat guy, Jordan's the verticaly challenged
person in black.
-
Folks that have been on here a while have seen these, but if your new
here's a good link. It looks like he's been busy, lots of new paintings.
One of Dougie, one of Iris K. one of Laia.

Any one know the head cc's?
Trying to figure out compression ratios.
Thanks.
-
I think there will be some good scores.
The loop should be lots of fun for the riders.
Ever heard of the "Trail of Tears"?
This will be the "Trial of Tears"

If your coming early to the World Round in the USA
there will be a vintage event at Bob Ginder's (B&J Racing).
Bob is a couple of hours away from the TTC.
The event date is 5-13-06.

Didn't mean to stir up a pot of manure, just like to put names to faces.
-
Oh the secrecy of it all.
Ah Ha, that's why trials isn't growing!
We know Bubba, Ricky and Chad's numbers, faces, bikes etc.
We appreciate your work HL.
-
Thanks HL for this thread!
Any chance in a list of names and there number so we that don't know them
can figure out who's who in the pictures?

I just got done with a new motor and I'm afraid I've broken my kick starter gear.
I was easy on it, it just seems to have too much compression.
Looks like I get to tear it back apart.
-
Terry, you credit Alan, I BLAME him!
-
Was it hard to kick start or did you still have the compression release installed?
-
Why do I ride?
After Sunday, I haven't got the slightest idea!
-
One if by Land
Two if by Sea
-
Some of em can probably remember drinking their prune juice
wilst that lttle lad Sammy Miller was playing on his push bike!
-
This has been a funny thread.
Ken, we know your not Lane, you can spell.
(Sorry Lane, I'm the guy that gave you the little
plastic sign with the word competitor on it and asked
you to stick it to your computor monitor for future
referance, I wouldn't have done that if I didn't think
you could take a joke).
Every one seems to agree that 125's are good for teaching the
youngsters. The question is about another class for the NATC.
Personally I'm all for it, add all the classes you want!
I make awards!
One thing that hasn't been brought up is do you take your
kid out of school to compete all around North America?
What kind of money, discipline and neglect for other family
members would be expected to pull this off?
I've seen (on TV) the Parents that give up everything for one
of their kids to make it in Dollywood. Just thinking outloud.
-
And I thought my old JT35 pulled like a tractor!
-
Accually Scorpa introduced a 125 four stroke first I believe.
It's air cooled but has all other aspects modern.
Great little bike.
I competed last month on a 1974 TL 125 stock on the middle line
of a vintage trial and I weight more than you.
I have a Sherco 250 and it's got plenty of power.
-
Any one read the story in the AMA book about kids and
motorcycles/ ATV's. Looks like Oklahoma's in trouble.
Under 18 would have to be on a smaller than 90cc bike if I
read it right ( I was in the "library" reading and my son needed
in there to brush his teeth or something).
Picture Cody Webb on a Rookie!
BTW, Cody's a pretty big kid.
-
100,000 at Duluth?
Hawkstone only had 8,000.
-
Who has thrown up road blocks?
Alan with a kid on a 125?
Ishy that rode a 125?
Me, my 13 year old is on a 70 Rookie we hope to move to a 125 soon.
Lane? what size is Daniels bike? He's still on a 125 isn't he?
We are just TRYING to tell you how it is, maybe it can change, I don't
know. I do know that you are preaching to the choir on this one.
The choir is just trying to tell you how it is now.
Personally I don't think trials will ever be huge here in the USA.
I've explained my thoughts before on it just not being as spectator
friendly and no big moment at the end like racing has.
That being said, I think it's the greatest motorcycle sport in the world
and I'm afraid I'm addicted to it ( I just stink as a rider).
-
Ken, you just called a guy chicken .... that rode a 125 in the
SSDT. I'd say he's not.
Listen a minute, the STRA is a pretty good sized club.
Probably 200 riders.
We have 6 125 riders
3 are young women (one has been in Germany all of this season so far and will still be there a while longer) (one has competed only one or two events last year)
(one competes on a regular basis)
3 are young men (one hasn't competed at all yet) (one hasn't competed in a couple of years but he and his dad always help out with the checking) (and lastly, one rides in the PRO class or the Expert class)
Good freaking luck sorting out a 125 class!
Folks are putting their kids on 125's to help them, not to compete in a class.
Maybe if there was a 125 class we would bring the number of bikes up but
it wouldn't go from 6 to 20 or 30. We just don't have that many in that age bracket.
We all hope trials grows, we would like to see a US champ or at least someone to cheer for.
-
Alan, I can only come up with 6 125's in STRA.
Two of those weren't riden in STRA last year.
One more of those hasn't been ridden yet in an
STRA event.
