Got a new one today! Thanks tho
-
Ive read alot about automatic transmission fluid instead of normal oil, would this be a good idea? is there a certain type i need?
-
Do you reckon it will be ok with a spring missing then? the clutch plate does move slightly uneven now,
If i can i will get one from bvm tomo but im not sure they will have one in stock!

Hey folks!
Im having a bit of troule with my clutch, the other day when i was out my clutch started to slip in 3 going up a steep rocky hill,
I cam home a took the clutch plates out for inspection, all was fine so i rebuilt bike with fresh oil and took it for a spin! It had stopped slipping but is now rattling and dragging slightly
Also after only a few hours riding the oil is pretty black
compared to normal,
One last thing, Does anyone in gloucestershire have a spare clutch spring? lost it in the garage some where rggghh!!!!
Any help please?

Engine oil,
2stroke oil
Brake fluid
Flywheel puller
Spare brake and clutch levers
Spare mudguard
Tyre pump
2stroke mixing container
Good set of spanners and allen keys
I normaly take all his with me when i take my bike out too, I hate it when your bike breaks and you gotta go home!
-
Ok im really confused now, I thought i was sending payment to the acu as that is the address on the form,
Easy it is then lol

Whe i bought my bike about 2 months ago, when i bought the bike (rev3 250) it was piston knocking so i de-coked the piston etc, I reduced it by loads but it has started knocking again!
I have noticed the carbon is back, But im sure it shouldnt be this bad only 2 months later?!?!?
What could be the cause???
-
This happend to mine after a new stator,
It turned out to be the coil pack had bad connections! Try taking the coil pack of and make sure the connections are fine! aslo check the kill switch is working ok!
It sounds dumb but it fixed mine!
Hope this helps
-
-
I have done everything to try and sort it out, I have reduced it heaps but i still get the on knock!
(De-coked everything too)
-
had you had it running before you looked in the window?
Mine goes milky colour, I think it is the air in the oi from running the engine, If you leave it stood still it should go back to normal colour!
Hope this helps
-
I know there are many posts about piston knocking. and tips on sorting it out etc But..
Has anyone actually cured the problem?
I too have piston knocking but i am learning to ignore the noise as much as i can!

This is atatring to anoy me know,
Bought new pistons and master cylinder seal kit,
I have even tried new discs and pads!
The brake does work now put its very poor, 3 fingers are needed to stop,
-
Ok im off to bvm this morning before work to buy a master cylinder seal kit. Is it worth me getting a new piston set on sale or return or is it def gunna be matser vylinder
-
Its pretty old a think, maybe 2-3 years lol,
I just been back out to the garage (again) And i took the seals out from the master cylinder and gave them a clean,
There is a def improvment but still a little spongy! i wont be able to test performance till the morning!
Dam its 11:30pm
-
i think i can count the pads and disc from being the problem because the pads are really good and the disc seems ok, also not sure that this would cause it to be spongy!
even tho im sure it is bled properly i can still pull the level all the way in no matter what adjustaments i make on the lever?!?
would master cylinder seals cause it to be spongy? and would they leak if they were gone??
-
Hello,
Im looking for some big help here, My bro's bike has had a spongy front bike since he had it, i i though i would take caliper of and do the usual strip down rebuild kinda thing!
Im still in the garage 5 hours later. The brake is now worse than when i started but i just can pinpoint a problem!
So far i have:
Striped and rebuilt caliper,
Unstuck pistons
Clean all holes
Bled brake with no syringe
Bled brake with syringe
Bled from top
Bled from bottom
I have even striped it all down and rebuild it on the bench, once with caliper highest and once with lever highest!!!
Brake worse than when i started......... rrrgghh
Really what could be the problem here, It was working ok ish before i started so im sure all parts are working?!?!
Help
