    Re-build

Hi, how hard is it to split the casings on my scorpa ? There's a little noise thats really annoying me, I think it's possibly the little/big ends, but not really sure. Just a bit of a rattle/knock. A friend told me to try a different 2stroke oil, and higher octane fuel ( I use normal unleaded ), as some bikes just don't like certain oils ??? I use silkolene comp II, which is about as good as it gets I believe.......I may be wrong though ! Any thoughts ? Do scorpas always sound like this ? I may be worried about nothing.
  7. I'm sure there are some on the bay at the mo !
  8. What carb is on it, how long have you had the bike........has it been running well for a while then suddenly crap, did you have an ''off'', before it ran crap, what fuel and mixture are you running, is there a good seal between the carb and the airbox and reed-block, is there a kill switch on it ?????????? A bit to check, but well worth it !
  9. Water pump seals are the least expensive, and easiest to remedy. Good place to start !
  10. I use red hermatite, for pretty much anything. Helps keep the gasket in place, but looks rough if spilled. I bought gasket paper a while ago, and only today had to make a new water pump gasket, quick smear with the red hermaphrodite, all is well.
  11. Amazing !!! That was the opinion of me and my 10 yr old lad, who isn't impressed easily (think Kevin the teenager) cos hes dead cool like, innit, thats phat, mint, sick.
  12. So a bit like golf then, compete against the course. Perhaps they should bring in a handicap system, so upon reading results you can see how good a rider has done, and it actually has some meaning. ??? I know this will never happen, and don't want it to. However, if entering a competition, maybe the results should show the levels at which the various rider ride. For instance. Bob - 1st (6) - hcap 0 Johnny - 2nd (12) - hcap 44 Brad - 3rd (17) - hcap 2 I understand this would be almost impossible to administer, but just a thought. What the results don't show at the moment is that the guy that has come first does so every week, and rides this particular class every week, however, the guy that has come second, has only rode this class three times, and has done really well this week. No credit has been taken away from any rider, everyone's a winner - apart from the person doing the results.
  13. LEAVE MY MA ALONE ! She's a movie star you know - Star wars -
  14. If I go into Halfords and ask " do you have any.......Fuchs off " they'll think I have tourettes ! especially if I stuttered !
  15. I saw the guy next door to work using TFR on his car wheels, and asked what its like........anyway, he gave me about a litre in a spray bottle - buckshee. What a thouroughly bloody nice chap. I had to try a bit when I got home, and it seems to work pretty good. Cheers for the replies. Andy.
  16. Photo 2 just looks like he's showing off ! Couldn't help but laugh though....ha ha ha..... Sorry !
  17. Does anyone have any tips for removing the burnt on mud, and other debris from the engine, and getting it looking nice and silvery again. Cylinder has what looks like oily mud spots.....Baked on. Is there a product to put on it.....like cillit bang, or do I just paint it with high-temp silver. Don't want the mess of painting though. It's not a problem, but it does annoy me, looks tatty !
  18. They're made from imploded star, then painted with dark matter, just to make them a bit heavier.....?
  19. Headfirst is always a good way to not fall off !
