  1. Found this on the bay..... What or whom flys a helcopter indoors.
  2. Errrrrr not really you don't, or are animals not alive ?
  3. Its a scorpa. I know it's in the wrong forum but the emphasis was on the bar risers.
  4. How did you get on ? After a trip to cowm quarry and sore wrists for a day I dedcided to try risers. Theres already a 5mm spacer under the clamp, dunno if this is standard, but I've just made and fitted 20mm risers, so a rise of 15mm. I have nothing to report yet as I haven't tried them. They look strange at the moment though as they're rectangular still, I will make them eliptical after testing them out..if I like them and it makes a difference. The front of the bike felt really heavy so hopefully a 15mm rise will make the world of difference and push my weight back a bit. I will let you know !!!!!
  5. "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"
  6. Hi all, Finally just bought another van...hope it's better than the last one - head gasket blown same week as I bought it, but got my money back. Anyways, I've been searching all over for cheap insurance doing all the usual comparison sites and such, the best price I got back was £725 but whan I actually spoke to them it was soon getting to £800 and beyond. I tried and am now insured with Adrian Flux - TPFT - £640 with unlimited mileage and best of all I am covered for transporting the trials iron. I noticed with some of the insurers that you're not covered for transporting a bike to an off road event/track and anything motorsport related. 53 Fiat ducato 2.3 mwb high roof. Oh and thats with no no claims as I have them all (11 years) on the car. Regards, Andy.
  7. That weld does look rough but as long as it does the job who really cares ? Ali is nice to weld as long as it's clean. When you see the molten pool start to distort slightly all the heat pulls the crap from the inside of the exhaust to the surface and can turn a 5 minute job into an hour trying to fill the holes back in !
  8. You haven't bought it from a Ms Laden have you ?
  9. That's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.......spoiled only by a wedding dress !!! Kind of get that good old fashioned romantic feeling...where I'd do anything to---------- Seriously though, was it worth having her hair done, who's gonna see it ! And finally, she must think all men are slobbering retards cos I'll bet all the ones she sees are.
  10. I'm pretty sure (it was a while ago) that I decided to drill it out with a drill a little smaller than said nut, and about halfway through the nut started to spin, so I just wiggled it out a bit like a dentist removing a tooth ! I wasn't too worried about breaking the airbox as I have a mechanic friend whom uses "plasters for plastic" a kind of epoxy resin with a strip of plastic....They use it to repair cracked bumpers and it's very good stuff....but a little pricey if you don't have a friend like mine !!! Luckily I didn't need a patch. Andy.
  11. moly-slip metal working fluid, it comes in a small bottle with a pointy spout and it's pretty darn good...it's a drilling lubricant really but works well I find. I give mine a couple of drops every couple of weeks !
  12. I had same problem, I used an insert-nut. They're for wood really but work fine...mines been in 18 months with no problems. Just a bit of messing around getting the old one out. Check this - Clickety click. Just screw it in and make sure it sits as you want it, then wind it out again and apply a bit of glue/silicone/araldite and screw back in ! Andy.
  13. Next time someone says " ha ha I've got a whiplash claim coming through " you are now legally obliged to rabbit punch them in the back of the neck just to make sure they're telling the truth. Unless of course they are genuine. I know lots of people that have had a claim, some of them more than one, when in actual fact there's been bugger all wrong with them ! It really annoys me, and they always get around
  14. Not being funny here but I bet making one yourself will cost almost as much as buying one new. I run a metal fab shop and looked at doing it.....it's alright if you already have the material in stock but if you have to buy in for it then forget it.....unless you want the project of course ! I think I worked out you would need to make 4 and sell three to break even or something like that. Check for a second hand one, I think I paid
  15. Seems to me that you're trying to turn your Sherco into an EVO.....Why bother, why not just exchange it for the bike you yearn for and save yourself all the hassle ? I thought I read on here a while back how much you liked the evo....has that changed or did you just fancy a change. Not trying to be funny, just stating what I'm thinking. Andy.
  16. I ended up gluing a bit of rubber with contact adhesive. As far as the ball-bearing thingy goes, it must be inside the kick and locates on the shaft somewhere, does anyone know if I can take the kick start off the swivel without the ball escaping. Cheers, Andy.

I tried gel padded mtb fingerless gloves last summer....made my hands ache badly !

    scorpa

The switch wires don't matter. I'm also missing a filter clip, I folded a 2mm stainless Tig filler rod to the shape and it works peachy !
  19. Using any fuel other than high octane unleaded seems to make them sound a bit knocky.
  20. Hi, your shed could do with a lick of paint !
  21. the fastest indian One of the best films I've seen !!!
  22. My kickstart hits my fuel tank on return and generally shakes around a bit and it is starting to mark the tank. Is there anything I can do to fix it, or can I just glue a small patch of rubber to the tank....does the superglue for rubber damage the tank ? What is the centre pop mark for, it looks like it's for a ball bearing to sit in but there's no ball bearing and doesn't look like there was one.
  23. Just the spring clip thingy and 1 bolt (m6), pull them out and pop the new ones in....done ! You will have to push the pistons back in for the new pads to fit, just place a wide flat blade screw-driver between old pad and piston then twist !
  24. With mudguard on, make a cardboard template that fits against the back of the airbox and scibe to underside of mudguard. Place template on top of rubber strip and cut about 3mm bigger. Screw rubber to back of airbox with self tappers, and then fit mudguard...you have to push down onto the rubber to get it to line up but it makes a good seal. This is what I did and don't get a drop of water in there ! Just whistle the Blue-Peter theme tune as you're doing it and you'll be done in no time.
