Yes, it's a bit of a pain in the ar** to be honest, even with all the tools and welder to hand ! Got to be cut open, repacked then welded shut again. It does make a difference to performance though, but not a lot in my opinion, although it is worth doing. Didn't notice any noise reduction.

After a close call, I now chain mine to a 56lb weight in the garage, and have an alarm.....also I messed about with the up and over door so it now squeeks loudly when opened, and finally, I bent it a bit so when locked it's under slight tension so when removing all the locks it makes quite a loud bang ! The fence is 7ft as is the gate, which is also locked really well, so if somebody does manage to get into the garage, they will have to lift the bike and a 56lb weight over a 7ft fence to get away. Anyone who can do this can bloody well have it !!!!!!

Leave it alone then try again.....it's pretty easy really, although quite annoying when you lose the washer thingys that sit on each side. It is of course easier with the mudguard off but only cos it blocks your view a bit ! I found it easier to get one side slightly 'on' then ease/force the other into place.

I took the iron out for a couple of hours tonight, and couldn't balance for toffee, to be honest Im not very good at balancing on the bike anyway, but tonight was dreadful. Couldn't help but feel afterwards that it's because I don't have a one of these wrist band thingys.........or it might have been that I was just having a s**t day. Don't know if this is relevant but, I put the stabilizers back on my little girls bike (shes not ready) just before I took mine for a spin?????????????? Subconcious.......Hmmmmmm ?

Surely a welding and fabbing shop can do a bit of butchery on the swan neck towbar, and turn it into something more useful !
