  1. Yep, it's the battery !! Well diagnosed that man ! Low water. Could it be a problem i will get a lot as the TL's weren't meant to be ridden a lot with the lights on ? Can anyone give me a supplier of batteries for the TL please ? Cheers, Dave
  2. So I gather ! But hopefully I'll be smarter by then. Best sort the Honda out first though. Cheers, Dave
  3. Cheers Stork !! You're a star I'll give it a looking at tonight. Dave
  4. Thanks for the info'. I've checked the earth and it seems o.k. I'll have to get a multimeter to see what the batter's doing although it appears new. But wouldn't the lights be on regardless of the state of the battery as the alternator would /should provide enough juice for the light when the bike's running. (Sorry if this appears to be a no-brainer question - bikes are not my area of expertise - yet!) Dave
  5. Hi All, I've got a '78 TL125 which I'm using initially to get my two wheel sense on before going DAS and hoping to get a late 60's Triumph trophy. I want to keep the TL though and have a bash at twinshock trials. It will also be good for my son as a field bike. I've got a problem with the electrics. My headlight woks fine but the indicators and rear light/brakelight aren't working. I've gone over the wiring loom and everything seems to be pushed into where it should be. Fuse is ok and the indicators etc worked when I bought the bike a couple of months ago and until last week. Anyone got any ideas what I'm missing here? Cheers, Dave
  6. Hi Copetech. Mant thanks for the info'. I'll do an internet search and see what comes up. Although i would prefer to get a longer jacket with the pouch across the butt. I do have a Barbour International and was thinking of rgetting Barbour to add 2 rear pockets as was o ften done for the ISDTs and is shown in Rin Tanaka's book '40 Summer Ago' about Steve McQueen and the East German Six Day Trial. Dave
  7. Hi, Anyone able to recommend a jacket that looks suitably vintage that would be suitable for trail and trials riding ? I have the Barbour International suit already (
  8. Hi All, I'm in Suffolk. Just bought a TL125 with a view to getting a licence and moving on to a TL250 or similar 4 stroke trials / trail lump. I'm a 45 year-old Civil Engineer currently working in Cambridge and haven't ridden a bike in 25 years. YIKES ! Basically I'd like to hook up with anyone interested in twinshocks and if they have a Honda - even better Anyway, hi to you all. This looks like a great forum and resource. Dave
