My Tlr 250 had the same problems which was an easy fix , fitted a new CDI unit and carb kit , all these i got through Shed Works (paul), bike was transformed , and at a cheaper price than i expected.

The Seeley exhaust is not stainless, just chrome plated, and rusted through after time, just put a magnet on it!

Can anyone help , on a standard tlr carb how does the air screw work , if I screw in the revs go up, this does not seem correct to me. As the adjusting screw is at the back off the carb it must be a air screw which in my mind should work the opposite .

You can use a early Gas Gas txt shock, its the correct size and very little fettling to fit, got one on mine and is very good and you loose the duo shock remote. As for your flywheel try using a air tool, spining it fast usually does the trick, or take the head off and piston and put a rod in the small end without bearing ,two bits of wood on each end of rod and jam con rod on downward stroke.

Thanks for that Tony.Ill leave well alone! Bike in bits at the moment, the Silent blocks on the swing arm, one was not good ,going to replace them with Nylon bushes. Thanks for the help Lads.

Thanks Stu Need help! Where do you drain the clutch oil, and what oil and how much? Changing the Swing arm bearings, they look like nylon bushes, is this correct, if so i will make some more. How does the seat attach to the tank as mine looks like its fixed to the tank bracket with self tappers. Cheers Dave
