There were some changes made in about 2003-4 earlier models had Needle roller bearings fitted and then later models ha Bushes fitted.
This is a parts diagram of an 2003 model
Part number 7 is an HK2020 bearing measuring 20mm internal, 26mm outside and 20mm wide.
Part number 8 is an HK2010 bearing measuring 20mm internal, 26mm outside and 10mm wide.

If you've not had the pleasure of bleeding a GasGas rear brake before, I predict this might be your next question!🤣
It really is a huge pile of fun!
-
You say you had a leak, so as the fluid level dropped it has sucked the rubber boot down into the master cylinder. Don't worry that's how it's meant to work.
Just collapse it back into shape then put it back in the top of the reservoir and then put the cap back on.
-
There are other mistakes, it seems like they just cut and pasted info from the TXT manual to Pro manual.
Fuel mix says 2% (50:1) the TXT crank bearings were lubricated by the fuel mix but Pro crank bearings are lubricated by the gear oil so you don't need as much in the fuel. Many people on here run between 65:1 or 75:1.

Yes you're right, about 1ml of soap in 1ltr of water.
-
I've fitted a couple of non genuine sets. The piece that goes on top of the airbox can be the trickiest part of the job and you need some masking tape to hold it in place until the soapy water has dispersed and properly dry (24 hours).
-
See how you get on with it! Try somebody else's to see what you may prefer, my opinion would be a 250cc. So there's a bit of personal choice what you feel comfortable on and what you enjoy riding. That's what it's all about!
-
I think you could change it if you wanted to.
It looks like you have glued the drier to the outside of the 4-way, you could cut the 4-way just in front of the nozzle of the drier and re-attach with an inch long piece pipe on the inside of the 4-way. so it would be invisible.

I'm not sure if they are still available but there used to be cylinder head spacers. flywheel weights are good at slowing the acceleration and great on muddy off cambers but also slows the decreasing revs (i.e. keeps going). I softened the rear shock so the back would dip and take up a little bit of the power before take off, so add that to your list of things that cost nowt.
Broken ribs I know what they feel like, I felt like I couldn't even blink without squealing! and collar bone I used to hear it grind when trying get to sleep😮. Hope you recover soon.

Gas Gas clutches do drag a bit.
-
The Exhaust looks like the earlier type where the silencer would be bolted onto the mid section. Previous owner has welded over the bolt holes and welded the two sections together. Making it more robust.
You definitely have a Pro motor and it has a 280cc barrel on it.
The fuel tanks on the 07's were black so you may have an earlier one.
I am still puzzled why the frame is black underneath the VIN sticker, that says the bike was built in 2003 Feb. Maybe a newer frame with the old sticker transferred on to it. See if the numbers match up!
I wouldn't worry about anything as it looks fine, If you're new to trials then I hope you enjoy it and don't throw it at too many rocks!🤣
I've got a 04 model but the VIN has an "E" in it which was the first letter they started using.
-
There should be a letter in the middle of the VIN,
2004 E,
2005 F,
2006 G,
2007 H.
-
Yes you're right, The Raga replica models were a year infront of the standard models but there are fewer of them!
-
It was late 2005 when they changed the clutch from brake fluid to mineral oil.
I use Dexron III ATF in the gearbox.
-
If you wash your chain then WD40 may help to dry it, ('W'ater 'D'ispersant 40th attempt) It is a water repellent/dispersant but Not a lubricant so bad news for a chain!
For trials a heavy gear oil will be ok, or old gearbox oil. Just pour/brush it on.
-
it makes it almost a pleasure cleaning filters🤣
-
I've used No-Toil. for the last 15 years.

Coolant can only get in the gear oil through the water pump seal. So the seal may damaged, or fitted wrong way round, or the cooling system is being excessively pressurised. I have had this and the pressure was caused by a leaking cylinder head O-ring, A quick test for this is to run the engine with the radiator cap off and look for any air bubbles or or hold your thumb over the top to seal the system and remove it after a few seconds, if air pressure or coolant blows out then you may need to remove the cylinder head check for cracks and replace the O-ring seals. Be careful because if the hot gasses are leaking into the coolant it will get heat up much quicker than normal.
Hope this helps
Good luck.
-
It maybe you still have some coolant remaining in the gearbox and you need flush the gearbox a couple of times with fresh oil.
Both water pumps are interchangeable on all Pro models 2002 to 2023.
-
Hi, welcome to the forum.
-
The bikes changed in 2011 but the Raga changed a year earlier 2010, The decals are not interchangeable between either side of the changes.
If you have the latest frame design then you need to get a 2011 set.

I wanted a spare magnet and was told that Jitsie magnets don't work with Apico switches and vice versa. They are both open switches but the magnet polarity is reversed and apparently the magnet won't stay on. So that's the reason I knew they are not all the same, My GasGas works by earthing the coil.
-
The two switches need to be wired in parallel and not in series, so it sounds like it should work okay. I would check that the operation of both switches are the same way button 1 open when not pressed and button 2 open when magnet attached.
I suspect they are not the same.
-
That's not a 2012 model.
At best, it is dressed up in 2006 graphics. The frame number will give you the the correct year of manufacture. i.e. If there is a letter "G" in the middle of the number then it's a 2006. or if it has an "F" then it's a 2005.
