    Ty Speedo

Any idea how/if a TY Mono speedo comes apart for cleaning etc?
  4. I was thinking of taking a Sigg bottle or similar with some fuel in, just in case. I think a proper enduro bike will be on the cards, just want to get some use out of the TY too
  5. Nice one. I'll go from there and have a fiddle with it all
  6. The 35t looks like a shirt button compared to the 42t. Any idea of road speed with the 35? I realise it's not going to be super bike-esque, but would like to be able to be safe riding short road sections
  7. Lucky old me, I am blessed with short legs and a lack of skill that means any speed will be slow, slow, slow. Got a 35t sprocket that I will try too
  8. Any views on using my 250 Mono for greenlaning?

    Ty 250 Mono Rim

That's a possibility I've looked at. I'd like a tubeless rear wheel. SM products do a set of Z's for

    Ty 250 Mono Rim

Just bought this rim and on taking the tyre off I found the below. Is it scrap or useable? (my first use of photobucket, so hopefully the pics are accessible)
  13. That's excellent. Thanks for taking the pics and measurements. Much appreciated!
  14. Thanks for the reply. I am the only one of my mates with a trialler. Ant chance of a pic or some measurements for my fabricator?
  15. So then, anyone got one for sale?
  16. Hello Does anyone have any idea of the length of an original TY Mono side stand? Any large diagrams/pictures would help as im looking at getting one made Cheers!
  17. Ive got hold of an original front and rear light set for my 1985 TY250. The lighitng coil is present, but in terms of power, I only have 1 powered wire (6v). What do I need to to do connect the lights up? Any help is muchly appreciated. Also I took the bottom bolt out of the front sprocket chain guard and oil began to drip out. Any ideas? Cheers
  18. Hello all I have just bought an '85 TY250 and want to fit lights. The bike has both coils, but all I can see in terms of powered wiring is one wire that is on the right hand side of the air box. This is giving out 6v, but is the only wire that is available with power. The kill switch and wiring is present, but I cannot find any other wires to power the front light etc. Any ideas?
  19. Thanks for the reply. I take it that spring settings, fork oil weight etc is the same as a road bike in terms of personal settings? I dont want to get out on my first wobbler and find that my weight leaves the tyres rubbing on the plastics!! Cheers
  20. Hello I am looking at getting into trials, but don't know what sort of bike would be best. I am 6ft tall and weigh 17 st. Is this too big for a trials bike? Any advice about getting started would be appreciated!!
