I couldn't possibly comment but Steve's website is now dead, defunct, passed on.......... Steve will still assist until the New importer breaks cover. Anybody seen any bikes leaving the factory in a large container????
Steve Saunders is taking down his Jotagas Website at the end of the week. Any Manuals etc needed will have to be downloaded before then. He Has a Banner on the front page stating that a Press release from the new Importer is due soon.
If it was like the BTC the bike is not being "displayed" yet. I did get a good look at the BTC and know a few others that reckon it looks pretty good. As I said though some parts look "unfinished" and they seem to be changing parts to get the best performance compromise.
Dealer Inventory? For Trials Bikes? Most dealers in the UK get a demo bike of one of the makes they sell but its rare because they have to pay the tax on the thing after a few months.
Probably down to logistics. Building a couple of bikes per week isn't going to ramp up production. An importer who can buy 100 bikes in a batch can allow the Maker to make the deals.
It's all very quiet. Even if they is somebody looking to take JGas on They will wait for 2016 Bikes I would think. I do know that the potential importer I flagged a while back decided not to carry on.
Had a good look at Scarborough. Generally the Bike looks OK. There are a few bits that look unfinished and they seem to be changing Parts. The Forks at the WTC this weekend are a different colour for example.
Basically because getting the Bike to World rounds without any Support would be a non-starter. Shame really. Billy has spent a lot of time getting that OSSA right
Chris tried a 2013 280 and did like it. I think He did say It was not quite like the 280 GG. You can check for the low compression insert which is coloured gold.
How does F1 or the World Endurance Series equate to Fiesta Racing at Knockhill or Croft. 4 wheels a Motor and a driver is the answer. The rest is money, talent and a team. If you expect the top of the sport to be the same as the week to week then you are in the wrong sport. Most people treat it as a hobby. In Trials the upside is you CAN ride the bike your heroes ride. However the three things that make the "top" of the sport are usually lacking. Enthusiasm however can take you a fair way.
The SSDT has influence in the UK and a few overseas riders but they aren't over crowding the entry. Vertigo were well prepped for the event and had a couple of riders who have previously won it. While not a slam dunk the proof will be when club riders take the bike to Trials.
Timescale. Raga has all the bits minus the Wagon. The Spanish Federation look like they will sort that but He'll need to sort it before the weekend whereas he had all he needed before.
Looks like Marzocchi could be gone unless somebody buys it off their parent comapny

Usual Situation is that The company is put into receivership to divest it of Debt. The assets will be sold off to recover as much money as possible for the creditors. As the major one is usually the Government, they receivers will no doubt rush to make as little as possible because they know nothing about the industry and the Buyer will be a "new" company that can start production up again without debts. Usually that's one or more of the people that were trying to save the company. In this case the backers who are putting money up for Raga etc to run around the world.
