  1. Given how good the JGas Side shock is I was hoping that would continue. Can't see it on these unless somebody can "blow them up" a bit more. Having said that looking at the Photo it seems to be transposed. The rear brake fittings look to be on the "wrong" side. Are they hiding something???
  2. The Bike looks likely to break cover soon as well given the build up.
  3. We've run Castrol, Motul and Comma with no Problems I tend towards Dexron III but Dexron II works well.
  4. For anybody heading to BUMPY this weekend this could affect your route. http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/news/latest-news/top-stories/leeds-road-closedown-alert-for-drivers-1-7114425
  5. Somebody is looking to import them. No names on it yet though. http://trsmotorcyclesuk.com/
  6. The "Jump Back" that Bou is well known for finally bit him at Pau. It's a good move but It looked like he should have gone for the foot.
  7. Probably spent over £6.5K on the bike and "improvements". About £100 a month maintaining it. Practice is about £10 Trials Between £12 and £20. ACU reg is £10. Insurance is £199 a year Fire and Theft only.
  8. Not Sure, Most riders have found the 4RT difficult to get consistent results on. Bou obviously being the exception. Honda may have to crack a few eggs to make another omelette thats as good!
  9. The Jotagas CSP one is a very good upgrade.
  10. Somewhere about that and Tesco or Shell 99. I also put in Silkolene FST Pro Booster.
  11. You can use two tie wraps to hold the guard on. just wrap around the lower section. (so long since I did that one I forgot!!). The Tensioner was changed and later ones do not rub. Exhaust is a new one on me. One definite advantage is that the Plastics are very rugged.
  12. Depends. The only thing that is a bit of an annoyance is that it can blow out oil though the breather. Usually sorted by putting in a bit less or using the Filler cap/breather. See how it goes. We use Dexron oil in the gearbox as it's a Gas Gas style clutch and it seems to like the same oil. The Frame bolts like the Beta can rattle loose so loctite them in. We have a thicker bash plate but my Son likes rocks and if he misses the standard one is a bit "thin". Some have a head insert to lower the compression but what we have works fine. After that it's down to personal preference and how you ride. Just post any queries and we will see if anybody has come across the problem. Most riders who have tried My Son's bike love the ride and the way it handles. Mods to His bike are, Kehin Carb, Boysen reeds, Ohlins shock with heavier than standard spring, Costa Sump Guard, Big AJP clutch reservoir, Added clearance on the Two "fingers" in the linkage, (it "clicked" on rebound). Only thing that would stop him from buying the Racing? If he tries the TRS or Vertigo with EFI and likes them. He does not think the current crop of bikes are as good at the JGAS.
  13. Craigs Motorcycles occasionally have one. They are in Dewsbury so not a million miles away.
  14. Not sure it's the best move but probably the only ride left. JGas and Vertigo have finalised their line ups for this year along with Sherco. That leaves TRS who are not yet ready to go. Gas Gas probably will only retain Raga with Brown part funded by the UK importer. OSSA may want to get out there but they are too involved with GG.
  15. If they are happy probably about August in time for the 2016 model year. Price wise Rumours of £7k to £8K have been denied by most associated with the project. I would expect them to be about OSSA prices.
  16. It's been reported in Spanish Papers that the creditors of Gas Gas are on the warpath regarding the companyy's level of debt again. They have survived before but it will have to be seen how this works out. Especially as Ossa share the Production facility.
  17. Completeley Missed the Raga Jump on the Mertrux section out!
  18. The Main upside of the OSET isn the UK is most NIMBY's see them as toys. Kids can ride them in Parks without being hassled. Try that with a Petrol bike and you'll know about it
  19. No it's for real. I believe it's a bike loaned to him by Birketts. PM on it's way.
  20. Love to see some US Trials but I suspect My Daughter and Wife would not be impressed by me taking a day out of visiting the theme parks.
  21. Generally a New X11 will have a stiffish sidewall. We were told by Graham Jarvis that he used to run the tyre at 1PSI on the road for a few hundred yards just to "break" the side wall stiffness before a trial.

    Trs Engine

Would be disappointing if it was. If there is anything that would make my lad move it's EFI on a decent chassis.
  23. Try making the spark plug gap a little wider. Seems to help combustion.
  24. That's the sort of deal Jack Needs to move on. Factory backing and a full program. Welcome to the fold!
  25. Strange We had the Gas Gas one Ohlins rebuilt a couple of times with no problem.
