  1. Before double clicking on the EXE try Right click and click on "Troubleshoot compatibility mode". Still may not work but it's worth a try.
  2. The opinion of the CofC was ignored and my Info was he was there on Saturday. Westwood is a Good TSR22A venue and the BTC Round was applied for on that basis. It is not their fault that the rules were changed and they were left high and dry with regards to trying to adapt the Trial. Perhaps they should have withdrawn. As it stood would any other club have bothered??? I doubt it. I also wonder if Scarborough would have proceeded if they knew about the rule change. As for the Spectators these Trials are pretty expensive to organise and plan. Apart from a Swinging Entry Fee how would you put a round on? I doubt many events can get away with the fees the SSDT charges. As it stands Brimham Rocks is no longer a suitable venue for a BTC so the 5th Round will probably be held at Addingham Moorside itself not exactly the best "No-Stop" venue. To Me that's a sad loss.
  3. They MAY have permission to look at the sections but I believe the C0fC at Westwood was not happy about them being involved and did not approve of the "alterations". As I understood it the RIDERS should be the ones requesting the Changes not the importers. Another thing I learned was that the importers have been "requesting" the change to No-Stop for a while and the ACU decided to give in to shut them up! A case of give them enough rope??

    Ohlins Shocker

GasGasuk, TrialsUK, Splatshop etc should be able to help.
  5. TMX has the Novice Beginners at Emmotts on the 26th May as starting at 11am. This is incorrect. The Small Wheels Electric Series will start at 12 Midday as usual with the Novice Beginners at 2PM
  6. So the Prices have been confirmed 250 £5599 280 £5749 300 £5875. I can't say I'm impressed by the pricing given the Euro's weakness against the pound. Seems to be taking the mickey.
  7. Got a feeling they are Mecatechno's re branded. Or have they been taken over?
  8. TE8 and TE12 available soon. Got a lot to do to beat an OSET!!
  9. This isn't quite right is it? The IMPORTERS wanted this change and forced the ACU's hand. They then fiddled with the sections at Westwood. Specifically, John Shirt, John Lampkin and Nigel Birkett were mentioned to me as ignoring Graham Jarvis and altering sections to their own taste. It's a debatable point as to whether the sections were easier or not. If The Importers want to run the Sport I suggest they leave the ACU and run their own Trials to whatever rules they desire then see who turns up. I suspect that if they can get FIM approval then Dibs, Browny and a few others will HAVE to turn up. As for other riders I believe the only way they could get it to work is to make it commercially viable for a set number of riders to turn out. Or basically put up prize money. And I don't see that happening in my lifetime!!! As I said earlier Westwood entry was OK but they could not fill all the available entries despite being right in the heartland of Trials and being pretty easy to get to for anybody else. I'll no doubt be at Westwood over the next couple of months and will have to see what they thought. Given the Support the main sponsor of this event has given Trials it will be interesting to see if they wish to continue or will stick to the World rounds from now on.
  10. OTF I was at Diggle the Previous Evening for a Spen Valley Trial and 35 riders turned out for a new venue at 5.30 in the evening. All sections were observed. Most Observers are happy to mark TSR22A. It's easy and makes for a bit of banter with the riders.
  11. Talked to a few of the riders, What few spectators were left and one or two other interested "Parties". Most of the riders weren't happy. And indeed were not happy at the first round. Many Spectators were confused and by the time we arrived at Midday the car park wasn't that full. Various comments were picked up including a rumour that the sections were not as laid out by the CofC. Certain "old" riders had been "tweaking" them. The "Harsh" five Browny received at the last section was justified. He stopped at the bottom of the slope. The observer did miss a few marks there though. It has to be said a few sections were never going to be No-Stop. Lastly the entry was pretty much as last years. BUT they couldn't fill all the available Entries only 72 when 100 were available Given that they had to turn riders away last year that does not bode well. Given that the observers did get stick that they don't normally I doubt they will ever run TSR22B again. As for Scarborough. Well That Centre is TSR22A STOP and I expect Scarborough to put on a good Trial. But that isn't the type of Trial they normally do so we will have to see how it turns out.
  12. Now the secret is to use the bike to get them to do the homework!! My lad is now at Uni!!
  13. You'll only be ok with the MAX version which is as high as the Corsa Combi. The Estate based "van" isn't tall enough for a Bike.
  14. Bumpy will be holding a Conducted Trial for C, D and E class bikes before the Novice Beginners on the 19th May.
  15. Used it on 125 to give it a "boost" with no issues. Others went and got AVGAS. On Tesco Momentum and Shell V-Power it will improve the octane to the maximum of 102 allowed. It's not a massive increase in power but it's more "urgent".
  16. Chris Has the black ones. Definitely worth the money
  17. As is crossing the line of travel etc. A good CofC makes sure it is not necessary but I have seen several example where you had to do so in order to complete a section. The Outcome of this is that the "Championship" riders are now competing with the Expert A's for the Expert A Class. At a point where clubs now have three routes to satisfy their Experts, Clubman and those who want to still ride challenging sections without taking on the "oh my gawd" ones so they get MORE riders, The ACU take it the other way in the BTC. I do not see an increase in riders so far. I do not think the riders are happy and I do not see how this increases bike sales which is why the IMPORTERS pressured the ACU in to this retrograde step. I also would like to know why The ACU reps at these Trials have not issued warnings to the clubs regarding the courses. I have been to these Trials and most seem to be designed to take riders off the bikes and yet we hear of no reprimands to the clubs responsible. THAT puts riders off riding these Trials.
  18. Actually Heard from another source. The "Horse's mouth" has now been seen and his evaluation of the "5" can't be Printed
  19. It's not that good to feel you HAVE cleaned the section only for the Observer to mark a "5". Dibs cleaned every section except that one and I believe he felt that he had "cleaned" it. It's a subjective judgement which has been argued about for many years and is why the rules changed to allow stopping in the first place.
  20. Got to agree there!! I have said for a while that certain CofC's have been trying to Kill riders rather than create a challenging course.
  21. The "Bike buying punters" seem quite happy to be honest. If it bothers you that much why have you bought an EVO? Riders are happy having what is really a factory rep. When it isn't they don't buy it. Current Problems for importers are mainly down to the current economic climate.
  22. Chris has used D-zign for both of his and they have lasted pretty well.
  23. Put Basically the Scottish is no longer the sort of Trial that can be put on week in week out and is unrealistic as an example of "Modern" Trialling. It is closer to "Enduro" than Trials and even then I cannot think of many Enduro's that last Six days. The only other similar event is the ISDE which used to be the ISDT so even that has had to move on. As for the bikes they are built to run to International regulations. That means the components fitted are lightweight and designed to a PRICE. The end game of this is that not many riders in the UK would pay that price. The Montesa 4RT is probably closest to that type of bike and all you hear is that the bike is too "heavy" and too expensive. As it stands the BTC is running out of step with the rest of the world. The problem is that the Rest of the World is quite happy with the regs as they stand and see no reason to drop into line with the ACU. The Top Riders see this as a problem as they will have to spend more time abroad in order to get a Paid contract as the ones on offer in the UK are not lucrative enough to allow them to keep riding full time. Great for "Part timers" like Dan Thorpe etc not for such as Dibs and Browny.
