  1. Seems James has withdrawn his entry for the SSDT.
  2. Haven have new Clutch covers and they are made of Alloy instead of Magnesium. SHould last a bit longer than the old ones.
  3. Chris's Camo was supposed to come on Dunlops I think. Actually came on x-lites.
  4. Confirmed that the Newest Ice Hells have the same battery less system as the Titanium bikes.
  5. I have to say when we had problems with the Jotagas Steve Saunders went beyond what he should have to help us out. I do know he had problems with the bikes so was probably quite disillusioned towards the end. They also are a good bike that in our case was let down with engine tuning and trying to get the Suspension to give Chris what he needed. Hence to move to Ossa and Vertigo. As it stands The Jotagas with a good quality team and development will be a good bike.
  6. Chris Found the Rear to be a bit "Dead" and the grip wasn't where he wanted it to be. He adjusted the Reiger taking some of the damping out and tightened the spring up. It's where he likes it now. I think you still have to look at other bikes to make sure which is best for you. Chris would like to try a 17 Gasser to compare. But his favoured option would be the Ice Hell just for the Shock.
  7. No Problem. The Engine just keeps firing, just making it good for you is the thing. Given how Many Gas Gas end up on different sprockets it's a simple fix if you can figure what you want.
  8. We run a April 2016 Camo. It's on the latest Mapping and Chris didn't like it much compared to the earlier two. The "zip" had gone. However Chris spent some time with different front and rear sprockets and we have found a better setup for him. He also spent some time changing the rear shock. As it comes it damps too much for him. The result was a lack of traction and the feeling He needed to rev it more than he wanted to.
  9. Vertigo, Sherco and Ossa fixed the Airbox problem. To say I never do much in the airbox is an understatement on the Vertigo. The trouble is it requires re-mounting of the fuel tank to do it. Hence Sherco running away at speed once they could sell a bike without it. Fuel Injection fixes the other Airbox mounting problem as well. The rest is down to weight and expense. Nobody will pay for a better solution or a solution that adds weight,
  10. First one has landed and with its Owner in the UK.

    Btc Rider

Looks like the GasGas tie up is confirmed. No BTC mentioned although John Shirt usually announces it separately.

    Btc Rider

Dibs is off to pastures new leaving a gap in the BTC field. If Dougie replaces him who do you think would be the natural choice. Jack Price is probably tied up by GasGas but there is Jack Sheppard who has shown the resilience and determination to continue riding despite a few bad years and has produced some good results at that level. Other prospect include The Peace's, Iwan Roberts and Toby Martin. Anybody else come to mind. Of course Fajardo could run in the BTC as well as the Spanish Championship and WTC but that might be asking a bit much!
  13. GasGas would Give Dibs Number one status again so I can see the logic.
  14. Just seen a release indicating Dibs has left Vertigo. No indication of his new Ride yet.
  15. Oh and your Ice Hell is 10 42 sprockets so when you do need a chain it runs a 103 link.
  16. Hi Chris, No don't start it on Full throttle. A minor blip will help on a cold morning. Carry a spare Alkaline just to start it just in case the rechargeable is flat. The Problems Chris had were mainly to do with the Mapping and Spark plug. The fitted plug was a NGK BPMR6A which tended to fail. A switch to BPMR4 and a full remap sorted it.
  17. Haven have some "Special" models in at under £5K modded at the factory so that indicates they is some activity.
  18. The main advantage is that that the Vertigo just runs. No fiddling with the Mixture when you go up in the hills or down into the valley. It just runs. It's worth it for the Engine and injection alone.
  19. As some would say "Low hanging fruit". Given the experience of many on here I would like the Police to go after the bikes actually stolen from riders. The amount of effort put into that seems at odds with legally owned bikes being confiscated
  20. Should be a Few Beta REV50's about. The REV/EVO80 with small wheels as above is also a good choice. The TY is still a good bike but compared to the Beta's is a bit heavy.
  21. Also known as TSR22a (Stop) and TSR22b(No-Stop). They refer to the observing rules. Generally they are the same except where the 5 is concerned. In both cases a foot down counts as a one. Any footing after that clicks up until you reach 3 marks lost. No more marks can be lost by footing. To get a five, In No-Stop if the bike fails to make forward motion you get a 5 feet up or down. An engine stop is usually a five unless the bike is moving and the engine can be restarted without footing In Stop Allowed a 5 is issued for rearward motion, (going backwards, e.g. rolling back down a slope), Engine stops while footing. In the case of an engine stop, if the rider can restart without footing no marks are lost. In both rules you can also lose a 5 by Falling off, handlebars touching the ground, displacing a flag, (actually pulling it out so an Observer has to replace it), running outside a flag, outside your course or "crossing your line". If tape is used to mark the limits of the course you can also get a 5 by breaking that. I'm Pretty certain that cover most Club Trial situations. At beginner level just try to get though as best you can. If you have an ACU Trials card already you can join any club and ride their Trials. Most around here charge £15 and it between free and £10 for single membership and some clubs allow Family membership At £15. Most clubs have a Day membership fee where if you just want to see what you think you can ride that day.
  22. There are a few Clubs. Closest to you for venues are probably Spen Valley, Horsforth and West Leeds. All three are running easy courses in their club Trials and also Spen run Easier Novice/Beginners Trials. Those three clubs also run Stop rules so you don't 5 if you stop. Huddersfield Falcons also run Trials in your area, but are No-Stop along with Barnsley Trials club, who run Stop Allowed. Most of the rest of the clubs run North of Leeds except the Sheffield clubs which run south of Barnsley down to Chesterfield. Hope that helps. If you are at BUMPY watch out for Me, I'm usually with my Son on the Vertigo.
  23. Given recent events hope all goes well.
  24. We had to switch to a 4 Plug as the 6 gave us the problem you described. If all else fails Vertigo can put the latest map on the EFI and that does fix it. As for Battery it did need charging about two months ago but has run OK since. I have a Maplins "Hybrid" rechargeable ready just in case. http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-hybrid-rechargeable-200mah-9v-battery-1-pack-n92gk
