  1. Now that's what we need... Trials Series in City Centre's. All we need now is TV coverage of the events. http://www.trialscentral.com/cms/showarticle.php?articleID=6747
  2. Not if you aren't a Friend which isn't easy as he has so many friend requests!!!!!!!!
  3. Now available via the Yeadon Guiseley Website . As expected a full entry with several reserve riders. One notable entry is that for Alexz Wigg where the bike is TBC.
  4. Yep As well as a Novice Beginners at Midday this Sunday Spen will be running a Small Wheels course at 10am. It's an early start but the venue is great. Rockingstones is an old quarry with plenty of rocks for the beginner to the Expert. Entry is
  5. Caroline Sandiford now importing a Spanish make of Kids Electric Trials bike. The market is quite big seemingly but what will be the pricing?? They will be Mecatecno's.
  6. Not in TMX It's a Club Trial At Emmotts just outside Silsden. Start at 11am with Three courses. Championship, 50/50 and Clubman all classes including Youth's. Small Wheelers for the kids will also be run on a separate course. Emmotts is just outside Silsden. To get to it take the Main road into Silsden and turn into "Clog Bridge" which is opposite the Bridal Shop. Take the road past the Toyota dealer and follow it straight from Howden Road to Holden Lane. follow the road up the hill and the car park will be on the left.
  7. The 80 is related to the later five speed fifty but I don't think the 4 speed has any common parts.
  8. They are tough to get hold as they are so new and popular. They also tend to be a hand me down little brothers (and sisters) want to get their hands on. I'd keep an eye out and attend a few OSET trials to see if anybody is "trading up" soon so you can get first "dibs" on any that will be sold.

    BTC Round

And the top riders clean it all unless you put in a large number of sections or make them super tricky so that the course remains too hard for "normal" Riders. . Even if you go TSR22b you then get the top riders still able to "trick" ride obstacles and you also get the arguments about whether you stopped or not. Let's get one thing straight. The BTC is not designed for "normal" riders, it's the top level of the sport in this country. You are not going to get more than a dozen riders capable of riding it. The "Support" classes keep numbers up to ensure a decent entry for the organizing club and also allow the top locals to try their hand. It's the same in other sports as well.
  10. Tricky one. Three possibilities come to mind. Either Alex is injured, He's got other commitments or He's not happy on the Sherco. Given just how well Alex can ride his results in World Rounds this year are not typical of his form over the last couple of years. Whatever it is it will no doubt resolve itself soon.

    BTC Round

What do you change? Make the Rounds easier?? It gets riders but the quality suffers. I think this one was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. A shame for the club as like many others the time and effort required is immense. We were due down there but had to withdraw due to a problem with my Son's eyes. The numbers weren't far off and there are a number of "new" contenders coming to bolster the Classes in the next few years. Still a "Daily Mail" attitude gathers more headlines than the fact that Torridge obviously did a good job and brought about a different winner in Michael Brown.
  12. I don't think so. You only need to look at the Other rounds. The indication I have is that The Yeadon Guiseley Round will be full just from the number of riders in the area who have indicated they would like an entry. Don't forget many riders have grown up on multi lap Trials. Personally 1 lap 40 sections is not something I'd go to see. Mainly because you wouldn't see much of it at all.
  13. The Main thing is making sure he can handle the physical size of the bike. The REV/EVO 50/80 are longer than the Auto's which is the thing they find a bit difficult to get used to. As for the engine... I'd say get what you can afford. An early REV50 in good nick is below a
  14. Heard something about John Shirt having to be taken to Hospital during practice today. Air Ambulance was called in.
  15. I know My lad and his mate have entries in Expert B. The Email address on the ACU website is that of the secretary and he is replying so try that.

    2012 Sherco

Carb tips forward and down. Might help the fuel flow issues.
  17. It's on!!! OSET and Small Wheelers at 12 with Adults and Main course at 2pm. Venue is Ians Rocks. Take the Greenhow and Blubberhouses turn off the A59 Harrogate to Skipton road which is now open!!!
  18. You can't use a swan neck if it's the one I'm thinking of. You need one with the two bolt detachable hook. It's known, (no sniggering at the back), as a Flange Ball type. You'd also have to make sure the Electrics (single point), are lower or higher than the two bolts. The Dave Cooper comes with two "long" bolts that allow you to fit the Towball back onto the flange. As for fitting, I have used the same rack on a Rover 25. Nissan Almeira and a Mitsubishi Lancer estate with no problems and have seen them used on the Mk1 Focus with no problems.
  19. Given it's a Modern bike I'm surprised they supplied a tubed tyre. I get mine from TrialsUK and Woosters and both fit free. Not much use if you are miles away but it's always handy if they can do it for you.
  20. Spen Valley are the latest club to put on a Small Wheel Course for Small Wheel and OSET machines. Starting with the Club Trial at Rockingstones Quarry Near Huddersfield on the 31st July. The Small Wheelers will have their course at 10am with the Main course at Midday.
  21. Sounds like the tyre maybe got "nipped" as it went it but it could be a "bad" one. Putting a Tube in usually means drilling the Valve hole to allow the Tube though so I wouldn't go that way. Try sealing the side of the tyre wall and Blowing it right up and leaving it a day or so.
  22. I didn't know the guy personally but would like to express my condolences to the Family and Friends of the Trials Rider who died of injuries sustained at a trial last week. If riders do come off at events they should consider heading for A&E especially if they don't feel well driving home. I have come across so many riders who finished Trials and gone home with everybody thinking they "got away" with a "crash" only for them to turn up speculating and recounting how they were rushed to Casualty with fairly serious injuries!! Take care and if you feel unwell don't take any chances.
  23. It Sounds like you are "crouching" over the bars. I'd move the bars back to get you more upright or even get some risers to push you upright.
  24. The main problem is getting the thing to fit. The reed block is 26mm and obviously the PWK is 28mm. On 125's Factory Kev prefers to fit to the existing block by heating up the plastic on the inlet and pushing it in. I'll warn you know it's a pain!!!! You can fit the Raga reed block which fits nicely but costs a few bob!. Then you can buy a 26mm converter from GasGas which is cheaper. Down to you on that one. The settings are 45-48 pilot, 125 main, 3.5 slide, JJH needle and middle clip position. Air screw wants to be about 3/4 to 1 1/4 turns out depending on conditions. And the throttle cable for a Keihin is different to the Delorto so if the Keihin didn't come with one you may need to source on. If you need any bits for the Keihin then both TrialsUK and Splatshop who advertise here stock them.
  25. If fiddling with the carb does not work check the base gasket.
