  1. Now Available on Yeadon Guiseley Website. Winner was James Dabill.
  2. They don't sag that much. I cannot remember what the linkage is like on those but it sounds like something is broken either in the shock or the linkage.
  3. Who now charge you extra in case they have to compensate you because they are late!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mind If Michael O'Leary had been in charge of the Irish Banks?????
  4. They are still selling two day tickets so it looks like a decision they know little about!
  5. Yes The spacings are the same. We had a DID wheel built for a 2009 GasGas and it has fitted the 2010 and 2011 bikes.
  6. Report here Ilkley Etc observer Looks like relatively Minor Injuries.
  7. Remove the Pads and Gently rough up the surface with a fine sandpaper. I'd check you don't have a leaking rear caliper.
  8. My Son is a member of all the local clubs and competes in all the local trials. The only time it makes a difference is at Centre Trials where you are asked which club you want to "ride" for. It means he rides every weekend give or take.
  9. Looks like Jack Challoner will be at this one which could mean more of a challenge to Dibs at the top. Wiggy and Ben Morphett could be pushing closer to the top on more familiar ground especially since Wiigy has been showing good form at the S3 Nationals. Championship CLASS No. Name c.c. 10. Results from the Ilkley Web Site. Winner James Lampkin, with Ben and Dan Hemingway second and third.Full Results
  11. You get them Dave, Usually they are trying to intimidate somebody. Not easy to intimidate a set of Trials riders though ;-)

  13. Not seen much MX clothing but I think the main difference is Protection. The MX stuff doesn't have so much as they tend to wear "armour", whereas Trials clothing has padding built in. I think this is due t the speeds. The Trials stuff wouldn't be much good falling off at speed but at the low speeds we do is perfect. MX Armour would stop you moving around the bike and place weight further up the body making balance difficult.
  14. I have the Dave Cooper version. Done journeys of over 250 Miles with the bike on the back. Started with a REV50, Sherco 125 and various GasGas Pro's since 2006. Used it on three cars. Rover 25 1.6, Nissan Almeira 1.5 and currently a Mitsubishi Lancer Estate.
  15. The West Leeds Trial has been called off as of this morning. Hopefully LCC will re-institute the roadway quickly after the works are complete. In the meantime, BUMPY are running a Novice Beginners at 1300 on Saturday and Tong will be open for practice 1000 until 1600.
  16. Bad timing by LCC or maybe not. However Tong is open and BUMPY are running a Novice Beginners Trial at 13:00 for those looking for a little competition.
  17. At the Spen Trial Section 1. Not exactly an easy introduction to the day for the riders.
  18. Hi Jordi see my thread. I've posted a few Names that have Photos and some Video on Facebook. Hopefully they won't mind. As for consistency in observing and minder positioning I have seen it all and unfortunately it does happen that some Observers will be "by the book" one minute and suddenly for certain riders give a lot more leeway. It's especially galling when two riders ride though a section and one gets a clean or three and the other a five. As an observer myself, (And at British National Level), I do get annoyed when I spot it and the Observer decides to "dig in". I do myself make mistakes but I WILL take any objection seriously and review my decision. If I feel the challenge is correct I will change the mark as I did do at Spen's Trial this weekend when I incorrectly five'd a rider in the mistaken belief that he had run around a Flag. On checking the flag I thought was there it was actually further back. My mistake, I apologised and the trial continued. Generally treat the riders right and you don't get abuse and I expect the same courtesy back.
  19. Well a few From Nige Pearson At TrialsUK. They might appear on TUK's website. Others are Friends on Facebook. Try Searching for Sam Yeadon, Matt Greaves, Nathan Smith has some video, Andre's Cook and Andy Greenwood. They are scattered about Facebook but are there. You might need to be "friends" but most make them available freely.
  20. We went to the Spen Trial so weren't able to report any more. I did hear from an "A" class entrant that the sections were hard but good with the caveat that perhaps the combination of hazards in some sections was a bit much "on the day". Scores look a bit "up" on the Ideal with the "spread" on Expert A being the closest. Plenty of Photos and the odd Video on Facebook so you can gauge it yourself. I gather Gary MacDonald was the withdrawal that allowed Sam Boocock in, originally on the Expert A course until it was pointed out he wasn't on that particular list and he was put in the Expert B he is on the list for.
  21. There's a warning on the website that Leeds City Council appear to have trashed the entrance to Post Hill. This has happened due to Heavy Machinery being used to create a "wetland" area. Please check their website before travelling.
  22. List has gone from Dirt bike Action Website but can confirm Somebody has withdrawn and Sam Boocock is riding. Although after the Practice today I think a few wish they weren't I did speak to Graham who did say that plenty of the riders were "worried" about the sections. The weather was not as expected either with drizzle being the order of the day. Funnily enough by the time you left Barnsley heading north up the M1 it was dry So hopefully that will be the weather for the Trial tomorrow.
  23. Given nobody else has commented I thought I'd just like to thank them for all their efforts over the last couple of Years. Without them many riders would not have been able to compete abroad as successfully as they did and gain the experience that stood them in good stead. They always gave riders who were just on the "cusp" a go at the major trials and in many cases pushed them into the limelight. They seemed to have major success with lady riders, giving them the support lacking from some of the importers. It is sad and frustrating that the "mainstream" press seems to fickle regarding riders and teams. The lack of column "inches" inhibits mention of good rides, the support behind riders and the clubs involved unless you have somebody constantley fighting your corner. Unlike MX where turning up seems to be newsworthy. Hopefully the work they have put in won't be forgotten and the seeds they have sown will come to fruition in the future.
  24. In which case I am corrected Looks like a good trial for the Long distance Trialer.
  25. I think you'll get the idea from this. Fifth Gear Should be something on there.
