  1. NYL has had Forma, Hebo, Garne and Xc-Ting. He has had two pairs of SIDI's and has stuck with them. He has the White Trial Zero's and thinks they are the best he has had. Honourable mention for the Hebo Tech2's which are also good if a bit heavy and the waterproof sock only lasted a year.
  2. The round will be held on the 29th May At Dob Park at 2pm. Details on the Yeadon Guiseley Website for all dates.
  3. NYL has the Steel ones fitted and likes them a lot. Definitely better with mud than the standard ones.
  4. Air filter cover is reversed clamping down at the Tank rather than the Mudguard end. Could be a different Air filter arrangement as well as the other mods. The frame is closer to a Triangle which gives added strength while cutting down welds and material.
  5. Had two Michelins in 4 months One IRC has lasted that long. To be fair I replace those on NYL's bike when the Lines have disappeared from the tread blocks. There may be more life left in the Michelin at that point.
  6. Michelin has the ultimate grip but the IRC isn't far behind especially in Mud and lasts longer.

    Betarev50

Used Castrol XR77 with no problems so I don't see that as a cause. Air screw I do agree on.
  8. Regs will be posted on the Yeadon Guiseley Website Also details of the Yeadon Guiseley Ilkley Push Bike Challenge!!!!!!

    Beta Rev 80 2005

John Lampkin Imports who are Beta UK Or your nearest dealer. The site will have a list.
  10. This is not a Club Trial as specified in the TrialsCentral diary it is the John Bolton Trial to be held at Cawder Hall Farm outside of Skipton at 11:00. NOT AT POST HILL.
  11. Used the Current Combo to do the Youth Trials last year. One bike will fit in on the Diagonal and its best rear in first. On The Gas Gas removing the rear Mudguard also helps.
  12. A & B Class Here C & D Class Here Looks like most routes were set out pretty well. The C class Looks like it was a bit tough and section 8 on the Medium wheels D class looked a bit pointless. However the riders seem to have been sorted out nicely.
  13. Additives are allowed providing you do not exceed 102RON. This is because you can actually get this fuel commercially. I know one or two people used to buy Aviation fuel of this octane.
  14. Everybody forgets that if you read the manual for all modern Trials Bikes the Minimum RON recommended for any Bike is 98RON. Hence if you are using standard Unleaded (95RON), you are losing out!! This is because the engine is set to run with this octane or better. As a rule most European car Engines are set at 95 Octane. However Volkswagen FSI and Japanese units run "Knock Sensors" which ajdjust the ignition for the higher rated RON fuels. As a Guide My 2 litre Lancer Estate does about 270 miles on a tank of 95 RON. On 99RON it does another 20-30 miles. Engine response is also better. Because the Fuel "burns" at a higher Temp it also burns off carbon in the cylinder.
  15. Hi Dave, they have got them on the site now.
  16. Is it a new one or not? Prior to this year you need to fit the S3 Short Titanium Exhaust with the Insert. A Kehin PWK28 Carb will also help. Use 99RON Tesco or Shell v-Power fuel and use a RON enhancer to take it to 102RON,(Which is the maximum you can legally run under the ACU).
  17. Only if the trailer is over 750KG in weight. I doubt even the three up trailers would make that!!!
  18. Now Available on Yeadon Guiseley's Website
  19. Hope to be going to the Spen Valley trial there tomorrow. Anybody know the best way to get there from Leeds??
  20. It's a difficult area. I usually get approached at Club and Novice Trials and the majority I can do. I have noticed tho that at a num ber of clubs they are offering a raised financial incentive this year. The Problem being that the quality appears to have suffered. At a recent trial we were chatting to a rider who reckoned he's dropped a couple of fives which never showed up on the scores.
  21. Historically the Youth Nationals have attracted entries close to 100 riders and it would not be feasible to have between 70-100 riders with another 70-100 minders on bikes. Given numbers have fallen it may be logistically possible but then entries would have to be limited in number. That would discourage any rider who only wanted to ride in their local events who MAY then go on to compete regularly. Secondly Many dads aren't themselves riders. So to make sure nobody gained an advantage it was deemed better that no Minder/Dad have a bike.
  22. Feedback so far is that it was a fair trial. Muddier than normal but the scores, and the spread of the marks between the riders indicate that the sections allowed for it. As for the lap distance the trick at Otter Vale seems to be to split the two locations between two minders and get the riders to ride together.
  23. Final Instructions and Entry list are now available on the Yeadon Guiseley Website. If you are not riding and can spare the time to observe Please contact Cherry Dabill. Contact Details on the YG site.
  24. To be held at Addingham Moorside on Sunday. Start 11:00am. As Usual Three Courses, Championship, 50/50 and Clubman for the older kids and Adults and a separate Conducted course for the Small Wheelers.
  25. Yep Like a Beaver!!! I expect the Otter Vale trial to be a more realistic test. It was last year!
