  1. I've stuck the A & b Results on The Yeadon Guiseley site.
  2. Results posted at Yeadon Guiseley Website.
  3. Parents/minders are allowed in the section. We were there the day after for the A and B class national and were only needed at a few sections thankfully as the two part course does mean a long hike between the end of one set of sections and the start of the second set. Where were the C/D sections???
  4. Otter Vale have no web site. The only way you can get them is when you recieve them in the post. I should get the A & B results and will scan them in and post them.
  5. Why use the same venue?? EMRA do not need to use Bracken Rocks and previously have successfully used other venues. Bracken is a good venue but for a national Trials series once a year is enough. And Dabster I know exactly what you mean. Two sets of sections split by a walk of a mile or so is not fair on the minders. Otter vale do a Good trial but if the riders want to wait for their Minder the best you can do is take about 15 minutes to get between 1 and 8 and 13 and 1. Clubs have to remember that because the minder CANNOT have a bike the distance between sections has to be considered.
  6. Not many delve into the Murk that is Youth Trials And given that the feedback is that a fair number of clubs tried getting a date and were unsuccessful why visit the same venue twice??
  7. Just thought I'd bring this up here as I have never seen this happen before. The Second round of the A & B Nationals was held at Bracken Rocks under the Mansfield Maun club a couple of weeks ago. It seems that EMRA are intending to use Bracken for the fourth round in May. I haven't seen this before and wondered why it was happening??
  8. Due to many riders wanting to attend but been unable to make the original start time the Yeadon Guiseley Cockhill club Trial will now start one hour later at 2PM. Dorothy Wardle and her Refreshment van will be "on site". Expert, 50/50 and Clubman courses. Adult and Youth A, B, C on main courses with a separate Small Wheel course for C and D class youths.
  9. Beta Rev3 125 is a steady ride plenty of Power especially in the later Kehin carbed versions although can need clearing out more often. Suspension is on the soft side. The Sherco is a bit bouncier equally as powerful but easier to "move". The frame after 2006 does foul the steering lock a bit as it was spayed out for the 4T motor. Air filters a bit vulnerable if you crack the rear guard. Bouncier than the Beta it does not quite have the lightness of a Gas Gas. The Gas Gas is a lightweight "bouncer" Revs to the heavens and needs looking after. If you can manage it it's a good bike that will feel a lot lighter than even the 80.
  10. Best thing to do is check the Dates on the Website. Take the Bike when they have a Trial on. There is one on April the 11th with a Wednesday Night Easy trial on the 22th. May sees only a Wednesday easy on the 20th and June has a couple with one at 11 on the 1st and 18:00 on the 13th. Another easy trial is on the 17th. You have no need to take them seriously and could just run round the course trying the sections you feel comfortable on. Scarborough dates.
  11. Yeadon & Guiseley were offered a date but withdrew because the date offered clashed with members commitments at that time of year. I'm not sure why Richmond didn't get a date.

    Gasgas Tank

Have a chat with the lads at TrialsUK in Horsforth.
  13. Just checked the ACU list for the A and B class nationals and it seems we will be back at Bracken Rocks in May. I've never seen two National events at the same venue in the same year before and is surely overkill? On the Plus side Scarborough's excellent IRC trial has made it into the list.
  14. If it has a Kehin and Ohlins take them off and fit the original parts. The Value will be
  15. Start at 2PM at Deer Park Bingley. All Adult and youth Classes with a Separate Conducted Small Wheels course.

    125's

I'd have a word with your dealer and see if the Paxau modified 1.25 will be available. That will be an upgrade to the standard bike.
  17. Well The Chris Carter is North of Leeds starting at Dob Park Otley. The Lomax is in Mid Wales so it would be a dash. I'd say that you should choose on or the other. Probably the Lomax given you are near Stratford.
  18. You are a bit late!!!!!! All clubs and most riders knew about this months ago. Generally it is working well at the moment. Seems a few observers need to be reminded though.
  19. Campaign of Idiocy by Bradford Council. Firstly Access to the site will be needed by the owner and all he needs to do is open the gates. Police can hang around as much as they like but the site can be closed so cannot be considered part of the Public Highway hence the powers they use to stop Car parks being used for "Max power" style meets cannot be applied. All The council can do is close the Lay-by which achieves very little if the Quarry has planning permission. Working Quarries tend to be a worry for councils as their planning permission actually means they can be used in this manner.
  20. NYL runs on them at about 3PSI. We have run it as low as 1PSI with no problems. As for wearing in. They seem to take very little time. NYL has run one new and had grip.
  21. The Horsforth Trial went ahead and with little Incident. Some of the Tracks between sections needed care but even the rawest beginners traversed the course without hurting themselves. As it stood 90 riders braved it out with the majority finishing. TrialsUK's Small Wheelers series had a good start with 7 "little un's" and attending Mums and Dad's braving the conditions. The Novice Trial was won by NYL on his Gas Gas 125 "Snow plough", scoring a lowly 7 followed by Dave Pemberton who was right with him until the 11th section of the first lap where a 5 took the win away from him. Jack Price revved his little Beta 80 into a creditable 4th just ahead of "OJ" Sharp on his new "Bed & Breakfast" Beta EVO. Adam West was best of the 50/50 course leading a "Beta" lockout of the top six places. Best Youth was Edward Berry again on a Beta. John Barraclough lead home the Beginners on a...........Gas Gas!!!!!!!!!!! Philip Smith was second on a Beta with Chris Bradley on his AJS Thumping his way into third. Young Chris Bradley whose Beta had been stolen gamely went round on his dad's Tiger Cub refusing to let the theft put him out of Trialling. The Small wheelers with TrialsUK ran there own course which was won by Joe Faunthorpe who adapted very well to the snow dropping only an impressive 9. James Wright was second with William Hoare third.
  22. Check Yeadon Guiseley For Updates on Yorkshire Centre Trials which are on or off. At this moment the Bill Nelson Craven Trial at Cawder Hall is OFF!! The club went in this morning to layout the sections and found that it would be impossible to ride. At This moment this leaves Only the Horsforth Beginners and Novices at Tong tomorrow. Updates to follow.
  23. Depends on the Club in the Yorkshire Centre. Yeadon Guiseley Charge less for the "small wheelers but full price on the "adult" course. West Leeds did charge youths a fiver for entry instead of
  24. We had similar problems with a REV50. Try using Silkolene FST Pro in the fuel. It worked well for us and I still use it to this day. It appears to "pick up" any moisture in the Carb preventing icing.
  25. Typical of the UK. Someone is willing to risk a move into the Trials market and prepared to design a lightweight bike and innovate and what's the reponse??? Lets kick em now... The Money has gone on producing a Strong lightweight Frame with the tank and air filter/inlet moved to the "ideal" position. Yes the finish is a bit rough but I expect the production versions to be better as they take on the feedback they are getting from the show. Unlike the Xispa which is a series of Chinese parts assembled in Spain. It looks like a serious attempt to produce a home grown bike with as many parts as possible from the UK and Europe. I look forward to seeing it at a trial.
