  1. "And tonight on crimewatch, Police are baffled by a speight of Road cone thefts"
  2. It's not the only incident where the F-8 Crusader launched from a carrier with "wings up". The Procedure was to dump under wing stores and fuel and land ASAP.
  3. The list of entered riders is now available on the Yeadon Guiseley Website.
  4. Hi Kinell, sorry to say that was the second show. Luckily I have a PVR so can fast forward it otherwise I think I might be brain dead by now!!
  5. So what has happened to the footage of the Ladies training day they are supposed to broadcast???
  6. Oh it's real !!!! The Pilot took off realised something was wrong and landed it... all wings up!!!.
  7. NYL likes the IRC's He rates them above the Michelin. The main reason we started using them was that they were supposed to be better in muddy conditions but He likes them on rocks as well. The Dunlop has a reputation for being hard to puncture and it really hates coming off the rim. Up to last year it wasn't as good as the Michelin/IRC on grip but it seems they have improved although the bullet proof reputation isn't as good on the newer tyre. I know one dealer kept a couple of the "old" dunlops for riders in the SSDT and Scott.
  8. We do use it occasionally. It's
  9. Forgotten something??????????
  10. Both have websites and seem to be in operation. Kliponoff Indespension Both are based in Lancashire.
  11. Got them in the post yesterday!!! If anybodies interested I'll post them up.
  12. Don't forget that on 07 models the Centre and Rear Boxes are one unit.
  13. Sorry I don't have them but if anybody from the club is on here could they post them on the website please????? There were a few people asking about them at the weekend.
  14. They did have a website but it hasn't been active for a while. When I get them I'll scan them in and Post them here.
  15. Had to direct an ambulance to an Eboracum trial once. Had him chasing me down a country road!!!!. I directed him to follow the flags and this is a good secondary use for them.
  16. I'm the person who did the Directions for YG's website. The venue has never been known as "the Nab" in the trials Riding Community. I am aware it is known as that in Silsden as I also post on the Silsden Forum. However that is not an "official" name outside the Town. As everybody from Doug Lampkin Down calls it "Addingham Moorside" I believe it wold be counter productive to change it. On a lighter note It will be in use on the 1st March for a Novice/Beginners trial. Two courses will be marked. One for real Beginners and the other for Novice riders. As usual a conducted course for our younger members will also be run.
  17. Psssssttttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check the Event pages
  18. Yeadon Guiseley will be holding the first round of the club's Novice Beginners Trial on the First of March at 2PM. Two courses on the main route and a conducted for the little 'uns. After the disappointment of having to cancel the second round of the Club championship it's a welcome return for this much loved venue.
  19. Most riders don't take it up as Road trials aren't as common as they were. Even when they SHOULD take out the Insurance many don't. You only have to look at the Minder insurance at Youth events. Where it's optional there are only 10 or 15 takers but more than that in sections.
  20. The UK Sherco and GasGas have stickers that recommend a minimumof 98RON Fuel. As Tesco and Shell have 99RON available I go with that.
  21. The situation is that Yeadon Guiseley have the rights to manage the use of Addingham Moorside. The club are looking at ways of using the additional days that are available when all the Trials have been taken into account. This may be practice days over the summer or additional events loaning the land to other clubs. Either way the intention is to run the MacKenzie there and the usual number of Beginner, club and centre trials. It was unfortunate that the First Trial coincided with the worst rain for a number of years and given the anticipation that the event had attracted it was felt the car park would not be able to cope. It normally attracts over a hundred riders and parking is a problem even when the weather is favourable. I Believe the plan is to run an event fairly soon so keep an eye on the event pages here and the Yeadon Guiseley web site.
  22. Don't worry about it and run against the adults. You may not win initially but the experience is what counts.
  23. I have posted the results at Yeadon Guiseley. The top three were A Class Jack Shephard 33 Ben Morphett 35 J Walker 45 B Class Richard Sadler 8 Jake Evans-Luter 16 Jack Howell 30 The A class course appears to have been just right for the riders with the YG team setting out a trial that suited the conditions. On the B class course only Richard and Jake were able to conquer the conditions.
  24. From the Youth A class rider list on sunday At Dob Park. You know who you are
  25. The "Atlantic Conveyor" is what you are thinking of and No the only thing that would stop it is a shift in the earth's axis. Even that would only have a minor effect as the "warming" effect it has on UK waters that keep the area clear of Sea Ice is also bolstered by the European Continent that "Wraps" around the UK. The problem for the Global Warming "zealots" is that the temperature in the Troposphere hasn't risen for a number of years. The current thinking is that the world will cool after 2012. We are however only talking minor changes here. Oh and for those that are "doom and gloom" merchants. Remember the 70's when various factions were warning of Icebergs in the channel???
