  1. Don't see anything in the previous posts about critising farmers VicX!! Perhaps you misread???? However there are alternate venues that are not farmland and given the lead time perhaps these should have been considered? Kent did it for their National. I'm not sure why IOW had to change venue's, but they also managed it. In both cases the club's had only a few days to do it not a couple of weeks. Hopefully Bracken Rocks will still be ok for the last round and Given that Mansfield run it and have run C&D and A&B Nationals in the past on consecutive days, could have done so again.
  2. Looks like it could have been pulled a bit early. DEFRA have cleared all farms outside the exclusion zone. Again I'm with AS IOW, Why not shift it to an alternate venue? Other clubs have managed it in a much shorter timescale.
  3. Looks like unless somebody steps in that the Bracken Rocks Event will be the only remaining round of the A/B Championship. I have to say that other clubs have managed to relocate the nationals due to the F&M problems and I would have hoped that a replacement could be found. As for the C&D could not Mansfield relocate and run the Trial the day before the A/B???
  4. Andy should be asking for a dealer ad Kinell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Craven are holding the last Club championship trial this year on Saturday the 22nd at 1PM. It will be at Cowling Cragg and there will be disinfected straw but the landowner is allowing the event to go ahead.
  6. Dave Richards was in a Twin Turbine EC135, Unfortunately Colin's Squirrel was a Single Turbine. RIP Colin who convinced everybody that a Brit could win the World Rally Championship when it was a real Rally Championship.(the RAC rally took in most of the UK and lasted a week). Even worse that his Son perished, Colin had "done" it all. His son had his life ahead. Sorry but kids get to me.
  7. They were caught out by Heller SA the FRENCH company that held the moulds and manufactured the plastics going belly up. Hornby seem to have pulled the fat out of the fire and are planning to continue the range probably by sub-contracting to China(whoopi doo). Humbrol had sold the Heller concern to the French Management team but contracted them to produce the kits.
  8. We decided to give it a shot and despite Chris's bad first lap I felt it was worthwhile. It was a good trial with good sections. Perhaps the "Bestival" caused problems with accomodation or Ferries although I found it pretty easy to book from Southampton and Found virtually all the Hotels no more than 20 mins away from the Venue. I was not going to attend Cheadle and Isle of Wight but found I could get the time off and decided to "go for it" and we have attended all rounds This Year. I have noticed that certain riders seem to have "given up" and have not attended the last couple of rounds which did affect your entry. However others came back. At least a couple of riders do the event by travelling down in the morning which is not easy on your event. Also at least 10-15 riders at the first round were local or "near" local and perhaps your round suffered from the missing "near" riders. It's not an easy question to answer. We'll have to see how EMRA and Mansfield Maun do for their rounds. I personally would like to say thanks and if Chris keeps improving we'll be back for "A" class next year.

    Ngk Plug

We use the BPR5EIX Iridium plug and have had no problems. Maintains spark. Gap is pre-set and runs well. Never fouls either.
  10. Entry will be in the post today. Any good Hotels or Bed and Breakfast's close by????
  11. Used one of the 1.3CDTI's to get down to Surrey for the A/B National. We had a Gas Gas 125 and it fitted. You will have to put it diagonally across the van and watch the levers and handle bar ends as they touch the side of the van if it isn't very secure though.
  12. If I remember correctly no trials bike makes 33 bhp. They are tuned for maximum Torque.
  13. Looks as though they are changing ISP for the site or haven't paid their bill!!!!! I should be seeing Margaret at Eldroth on Sunday so can get an update then.
  14. Ripon club seem to be behind the times. They are still cancelling despite all other clubs running as normal!! I could understand it if the alert was still real but it does seem to have been contained and isolated.
  15. The event was near Whitby so they could well be Yorkies>
  16. Not the two who scared off the Sunday Telegraph Reporter!!!!!!!!! Hardly surprising!!!! Now I thought they were joining Jake's new Boy band, Dougie was pretty sure Jake could find them a spot, only problem being they can't both be the Gary Barlow!!!
  17. Always tricky this one! I suppose the answer is simple. Section 1 could be ridden non-stop. NYL's approach was to keep the bike moving forward even when flicking and bouncing. This satisfied the observer. I agree tho that 10 could not be ridden non stop ( i.e. one for a stop), on the "B" class route. the approach was way too tight and the observer there HAD to take the view that it was not going to be ridden without stopping at that point. That is down to the Clerk of the Course and it should not have been there especially as the other sections were pretty much spot on for non or one stop marking.
  18. A Class 1st Adam Jones 2nd Ricky Wiggins 3rd Jack Challoner (On most cleans from Jonathan Richardson). B Class 1st Jack Shepherd 2nd Richard Sadler 3rd Josh Maude
  19. BAsically the Chinese are not the "new" Japan. Japanese goods were high quality items produced at a lower price. Unfortunately Chinese items aren't. Yes they can produce at a low cost, BUT the quality has never been there. Only European, Japanese and US operations where the company is managed and quality controlled by nationals from those countries get anywhere near and hence the price goes up. It's no coincidence that Chinese goods have a high return rate and neither that "brand names" haven't made it out of China. I wouldn't risk my neck on a road bike from China let alone a Trials machine.
  20. looked like the Spotters gave bad info both to Dario and Dan.
  21. The club have had to change the venue due to the Foot and Mouth outbreak. They have the new venue directions on their web site. Kent Youth Trials
  22. Got the Info from Pistonheads. The info was published in a local paper but how many see it away from the North Yorks area!! As it turned out I travelled a few of those roads and plod was not to be seen!
  23. They tend to make the bike run richer than normal so you will have to adjust the mixture.
  24. NYL was there and the problem appears to have been electrical near the radiator.
