As it was for the Organisers that isn't quite how I see it. I think it's more down to the lack of response to requested changes. None are ever taken notice of so why bother to turn up and be ignored....
Model Range is
Combat Camo Works is the Standard Bike 69KG
The Combat Ice Hell has undergone a weight saving program and will be the "Racing" version 63KG
The Combat Titanium R is the Titanium Framed machine. I expect it to be very light and strong. 63KG
The Vandal is a conventionally Framed Trials machine using the same engine as the Combat
The Vandal LR is a Trail Version of the Vandal carrying more fuel and a seat.
There is a "Leeds Back in the Day" facebook group so I have thrown the problem at them to see if anybody has any Info. I went to City of Leeds School in that Area, (before it went downhill), And the area was filled with Offices for the Leeds Permanent Building Society.
There is a Map for Road work that can be loaded alongside a standard Trials Map. It runs the bike a little richer for extended road use. Might be worth seeing if it has it.
About every three months or so but my sons bike is an Ossa and the filter is well out of the way. Now with Gas Gas and JGAS every ride. Keeping the Air boxes clean was a nightmare on those things. Going back to the 2004 Sherco and that was just a nightmare to seal. The Whole Airbox and mudguard was one unit so if you broke it the Filter was exposed.
As well as the Trials adverts here you could see if any For sale facebook pages have them. They also pop up on Biketrader. There is also one in Stoke on ebay which is a later model.
To Name just one Maker whose bikes are still pretty prized. Super Rat, the Road Toad, the Thunderdog, the Dirt Squirt, the Wombat, the Combat Wombat and the Super Combat. Wonder if that's where Vertigo got the name??
The aim for Vertigo is that they will pick the bike up and fix problems not including consumibles. I believe that if anything goes wrong Vertigo want to know about it and fix the problem direct.
Chris is looking Forward to the Sections being left in situ! Should make practice days more interesting. THe next Club trial there could be a cracker too!
Best bet is Bostik All Purpose clear. Still gives up after a while but they at least hang around a while. I'm surprised ti hear a Sherco clutch is that good.Like Gasser's if you get a good one don't mess with it. Get a bad one and it is awful.
Personally I have better things to do with my week than strip down the bike, strip off the carb and clean it, take off the air filter and clean it, then clean out the Airbox which this time of year is full of Mud etc. The failure rate is the deciding factor and if the Fi design fails less then I am happy. So far the failure rate is less.
Well in the same vein as Carb replacements there are ECU repairers. The thing is probably a EPROM so you only need to replace the chipset and re-programme it. Chip's are easier to replace than carbs.
Kokusan have been producing the Two Stroke Fuel Injection system for a long time now. It's used for Snowmobiles, Boats ATV's etc. If anything goes wrong the system is available. Most cars have systems that can be repaired it is just not always financially viable.
