Everybody forgets the Clipic 80!! Smaller Chassis and good suspension. The engine gearbox seems good as well. Like anything tho try the bikes and let the lad decide!! make sure he can ride them either together or on the same day. That way he doesn't get the "halo" effect from trying one in good conditions and the other under bad.

They do for what it's worth
Cheadle
I say that as they don't seem to have any results on it at all. Haven did have them from the web but I didn't get the URL. As soon as I have it I'll post it.
I have heard reports of some pretty "dodgy" observing regarding the tapes. These did move due to the weather and a number of riders were unhappy at being five'd When they'd touched them after they had moved. Queues built up as well at certain sections which didn't help. I have to say that the Marking out left a lot to be desired. I expected differnet coloured flags to mark out differences in the course not "Sign boards". Very wacky and not a standard I have ever come across.

The complainant is a Councillor who has moved into the area very recently I believe. Funnily enough when an inquiry was made to the council they claimed to know nothing about it??

Don't know about a white wash, but a wash out???? Didn't see the final results as we had to leave early because (as you might gather), I am working tonight. The Trials was a 12 section 3 lapper with the B class starting at Section 7. The Trial started in fine weather but the expected rain came down during as the B Class went thru on their first full lap and really affected the scores. I did see That after the first lap I Thought Ricky Wiggins led followed by Jack Challoner and Jonathan Richardson. Ben Morphett had only completed one lap As The B class runners begin coming thru to start their last "half" lap. Unlike Dob Park the scores were not easy to see and indeed I saw several riders trying to see their score but being unable to do so. Perhaps a bigger tent would have sorted the problem. Anyway I look forward to seeing the results on Cheadle's website.

Doh!! Give the man a break!!!
Easiest place to practice is Addingham Moorside. It's just above Silsden. Another local to you is BUMPY in Birstall.
At Addingham you pay the Farmer

I'd be wary about this one. Cheadle do need to up their game and this might be the day. Either way it could throw up a "different" winner.
In A Class tho It would be hard to bet against JC. His dad reckoned his ride at Dob was a "slack" one and he can do a lot better. Others such As Jon Chambers were very disappointed and they will come out fighting. We haven't seen the best of Jonathan Richardson yet after the unfortunate brake problems so I'd expect a better showing with a trouble free run. Others such as Ben Morphett will want to improve and will be on the "back" of Adam Jones and co. The Gas Gas UK Runners are young so will need time to "bed" in
In B class My tips's did pretty well including Joanne Coles. Again the results could be tainted. But I'd expect the top 10 to be the same with the mix altering. NYL is out to improve having had his best result so far. He feels he should be up just behind Josh Maude(Both on Private Gas Gas 125's), who was disappointed at showing nerves on the early sections at Dob Park and given his local form should be in challenging the top two of Jack Shepard and Richard Sadler.
A few B class lads didn't show well at Dob Park as well so all those who finished in the top 10 have to be on their guard against a return to form of such as Tom Bleasdale and the improving riders like Jack Howell.
The weather may also take a part as rain is forecast so make sure the waterproof's are packed.
We'll see you all there!

Get to your nearest dealer and get some Gearbox oil. Then Change it every month,(or about eight trials), and you'll be about right. If you still have problems then it could be the plates need changing. You'll need to check how much to use but most use between 400 and 550 ml of oil in the boxes.

Best place to look will be either here or Bradford's website. I'm trying to get hold of a set of results and Bradford have a "marker" set in their results section. Points to the Timperly results at the moment but as soon as Stuart/Ron has them I'm sure they'll put them up. I'm in Summerbridge tomorrow so may not get them until late.

I've just posted about Steve.
-
Just been on the GASGAS Uk website and discovered Steve has broken both elbows in a freak accident while displaying at the Scottish Motorsport Show. Hopefully he should be back for the First British national round. Get well soon Steve!!

In "B" class, as well as the "yorkies" such as Richard Sadler, Josh Maude and NYL, I'd keep an eye on Joanne Coles. They all have improved a lot since last year.
PLEASE follow the parking direction given by the "stewards". (I believe Mel Dabill and Mike Jennings will be directing). Other Vehicles will be making deliveries and collections and we do not wish to impede the roadway.

His own cars pretty much reflect what he says on the show and he puts his money where his mouth is. He has just bought a Gallardo Spyder and has a Merc SL. He did have the Ford GT. He also champions good cars that are not that expensive. He has a Focus as a "shopping"/nanny car and loves it.

Recorded it on the PVR. Looked like it was filmed at Emmotts or close by.

Okay here goes. Yes The lower the RON the easier it is to ignite. However this also means that in performance engines the tendancy is for "pre-ignition",(pinking), to take place. This is due to the high compressions used in these engines. Higher RON also has a higher calorific content. The result is that the fuel burns cleaner and longer because of the increased heat. This means it also produces more power for the amount of fuel burned. Because the fuel burns hotter then most of the carbon deposits associated with two-stroke's get burned off. Once this happens then the emissions are also cleaner because of the hotter burn. It has benefits all round.
We use Castrol XR77 which is for use with High Octane fuels.

Ah!! the old "Top Gear" debate. The reason the show is how it is is that it's a successful format. In most shows the serious mixes with the irrevelent. JC never minced his words in the "old" TG and now it's his show and He can take the P*ss out of who he wants now. It's also a cynical look at the world from the point of view of people who hate the PC world we have to tolerate.

Who run some really good ones at Dovecliffe, etc.
P.S. Enter the Beginners. The Novice course is harder than a club one.
-
We(myself and NYL) are based in Scholes(the one next door to Barwick-in-Elmet). We go up to Addingham and down to BUMPY for practice. However as it stands there are a few trials on every weekend so we go along to those instead. This weekend there is a Trial at Harden Moor Between Bingley and Keighley and also the Cobb and Jagger Trophy at Keighley Gate just above Bingley. If you want to ride Beginners then the Venues tend to be around the area. A good one to go to to start with would be any at Tong just oustide Leeds and Bradford. Clubs to watch out for running Beginners are
Bradford,Bradford
Horsforth,Horsforth
Spen Valley,Spen Valley
Yeadon Guiseley,Yeadon-Guiseley
Ripon Trials ClubRipon
Eboracum who run Trials mainly around York and have Beginners during the week.Eboracum
Huddersfield Falcons also run Beginners but you have to enter prior to the meeting.
West Leeds also sometimes run a beginners course at Post Hill.
If You join Horsforth you can use their land as well. When joining just ask and they'll give you the location and rules about using it.

We have two Aerials. One for the Front room and the other for upstairs. The lead exits the wall via a normal coax socket which is then fed into a Booster/Splitter. The Coax for the other outlets is fed from that. Three rooms and a socket for the room the Booster is in. Another cable goes to my "Hi-Fi" room from that aerial for the ttelly down there. The Booster is Digital compatible and drives the Kids Freeview boxes.

Stop it you'll make it worse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As alternatives There's still YG at Addingham, Horsforth At Tong and Barnsley at Dovecliffe.
-
Make you wonder what the recent Dougie Lampkin Limited edition Book would make??
-
I was talking to a rider at the New Years day trial At Hovingham and he'd literally filled in his entry and dropped it thru Keith's letterbox to make sure he got in.
-
Just as an update One of the Brothers who ran the farm Addingham is part of recently died. Flowers were sent to the funeral. Please respect the venue by tidying up. There is a Skip for rubbish usually there.
-
Where are you based. I Know some lads go down to Addingham from the Tyne area and Scarborough's Low North Park is just down the coast, (but you would need to join the club and pay a yearly fee See their website). Somebody did say that there was a practice area near Durham but I don't know which club/dealer holds the rights to it.
