  1. That would have been Aldis Blacker on that TY on monday. Still see quite a few, must have been three at Scarborough yesterday so they may not be as many as there used to be but they are still out there!
  2. Thanks to everyone the kick start started working properly during the John Bolton Trial.
  3. Kick start removed and placed back on still fouls the rear of the rest. It will clear eventually but NYL winds himself up about these things!
  4. Much as some riders have tempted me I have not given a "10" out yet. Just remember we observers do volunter and we do not appreciate the aggro a minority of riders seem to think is nescessary.
  5. How's the little 'un then? Hope to see you soon!
  6. Sorry FF we'll be at Halton Gill on Sunday but we'll be back at Barnsley Trials Soon!
  7. The way we go is to come off the M1 at Junction 36 and go down the A6195 to wards Wath. I think it's about 5 roundabouts down and you need to take the Wombwell turn signposted for the station. When you get to the Crossroads go straight across. This takes you on to Dovecliffe Road. This takes you alongside Wombwell Wood. The trial Venue is on the right about a mile up. If the Sections are close to the road you'll see them on the right. Either way It's a road on the right I think with some signs pointing to a Recycling site(I think that's what it is). As you go down the road hairpins left and the trial entrance is on the outside of that corner. Take direction from the officials as to where to park as it can be a bit tight. Might be worth checking with the Club as TMX say the trial is at Carcroft Motorcycle Park Near Doncaster.(Number in TMX).
  8. Just be aware that Yeadon-Guiseley and The local Bicycle Trials clubs also run trials at Addingham and practising isn't allowed when they are running. The MacKenzie National is in August and the Venue is closed the previous week and Just prior to that there may be a World Bicycle Trial round. It usually occurs in July.
  9. Most Clubs will allow you to join "on the day" but will insist on you filling in the ACU form. You will need a Passport sized photo, the Club stamp and the club secretary will need to sign the form to say you are a member of that club before sending the ACU Form off. Once you have registered then you can join other clubs for their "Closed to Club" trials and use the original club for Centre, restricted etc trials in your area. As beta 270 says West Leeds are holding a Trial at Halton Gill near Kilnsey on Sunday and Richmond have a "Dads and Lads" at Iron Banks on Monday(Next nearest is at Barnsley on Sunday). All Clubs put their events in Trials And Motocross News, a lot post on this website. Most have their own Websites and Link to other clubs. www.yeadon-guiseleytrials.co.uk www.westleeds.co.uk www.richmondmotorclub.com

    06 Coolant

We have had the opposite problem! The Fan on Chris's 06 125 would not go on! He had to be very careful as we were getting water and steam out of the overflow. And the best bit was that we couldn't find the thermostat to bypass the Stat. Anybody know where it is and how to "bypass" it so the fans on??
  11. Results now available for download at Chris Carter Results Quick Breakdown Dan Thorpe on 15 N/C Sam Ludgate on 20 Ben Hemingway on 21 N/C Martin Crosswaite on 26 Mika Vesterein on 26 N/C Ashley Smith Deserves a mention coming 15th on a 125
  12. Nothing as yet. I'll pass them to Andy as soon as they are posted but check out Yeadon Guiseley over the next couple of hours.
  13. North Yorkshire Lad's has the Kehin Carb and 9/48 Sprockets. It also has some other mods like Domino Grips(standards too thin and move too easily), YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE Brake adjuster and Chain adjuster, small Brake lever etc. Getting a new Mod for after Scarborough that should make the bike interesting. Then we'll look at the HC head and the tuning recommended by Julian Wigg.
  14. We are using one in Chris's Gas Gas 125 and ir seems to be an improvement. Starting is easier and no running problems.
  15. The PAckaging is the same (Mr Showman) But Amazon have got the title wrong. This could be down to the Disc supposedly being available before Christmas. Duke probably changed it when the release date dropped back to March.
  16. When you get to the Roundabout on the Outskirts of Skipton take the turn towards Ilkley and Addingham. You pass some Windmills and drop down to a another roundabout. Take the third exit towards Silsden. You'll see a sideroad on the left signposted Addingham Moorside. Go Up that to the Crossroads at the top. At the crossroads turn right. Go down that road about 1/2 a mile and take the first left, (Light Bank Lane). Then continue down that road and the venue is about a mile down on the left. It should be "flagged" from the Silsden road.
  17. For some reason Amazon have listed as "Steve Colley - Trial King". Same DVD as that Duke are selling.
  18. Turn up follow the riders round and watch the observers at work. Most don't mind chatting in between riders. You'll get an idea of how they score and then try it yourself!
  19. After the False start at Deer Park the Next round will be at Addingham Moorside on Saturday at 2 o'clock. As usual the Small-wheels will have their own conducted course. Entry form here Beginners Entry Form.
  20. I did see Ben Morphett threatened with a 10 at a Mansfield Muan C&D National two years back. He wasn't picked out but did have an early start number and the field was bunching badly at the first section. Time is a strange and relative thing and some riders like to get on with it and others hang back. Just as a guide the last club trial started at 11:00 and we were the last away at 13:40. 10 sections 4 laps and 42 riders including the winner who's form considering he'd been away two years or so was more than a little good!! It's a different league for the top riders and perhaps the Consequences are different(to say the least).
  21. Would thatbe it to the bottom right of the Idler adjust or that sticky out one??
  22. So it's on the Exhaust side of the Carb?? How you supposed to adjust it "on the fly"??
  23. There seems to be a view in some places that if certain riders get 'too' good then thats a bad thing. You call them 'elite' like its a bad thing.. theres no elite about it, they are the best riders in the country whatever class and I for one want them as they are British to be the best riders in the world so lets help them get there not just do half the job In relation to riding the Adult...probably best they dont.. wont do their ego's much good getting beat by a load of kids (very tounge in cheek) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Are you trolling??? It looks like it. As far as I am concerned those "Elite" or best youth riders do need pushing and allowing them to ride the Adult Expert course at the British Nationals will give them the same sort of experience those riders who are in the A&B Nationals for the first time will get in those trials. They may or may not win, they may not score points but the experience WILL do them good and trying to limit those riders who feel they would like to "push" themselves will only discourage interest. I'm concerned about the direction your posts here have been heading. I cannot work out the hostility towards the middle and lower ability riders in these trials. They want to try these courses and are probably getting to the top end of the trials they normally enter and feel the need to go further. I am not going to continue discussions with such a closed viewpoint so am moving on.
  24. Personally I prefer Hi-Fi!! I'm there to catch( and according to NYL I'm not much good at that!). I work and clean the bike, Get him there, pay for training and entries, Help out the clubs as much as I can, and lastly try to stop him doing too much too soon. He drives himself and looking at most other dad's in this sport they cannot compete with their son's (and daughters). We are merely here to pick up the pieces and encourage. A nicer group of parents are hard to find.
