So that brings up the question where does the Novagar Fit in? Most trials are of the 3 to 5 laps of 10 to 15 sections including National's barring the Novagar. YG had a club trial of two laps of 20 Sections but that is a rarity. The SSDT, Scott etc are Traditional Trials so the Novogar's fall somewhere in between. It doesn't seem to suffer for it as entries are healthy and the riders like the format. Seems a case of a popular format so leave well alone at the moment.

Got to sympathise with bdmc and stuartc. One Centre's clubman is another's expert hence the sections tend to be slanted that way in different centre's. By the comments here it seems that the two events organised by the Yorkshire Centre clubs are the Hardest so far and by definition indicates the type of trial required by riders here!

It's the extra grip! You've got so used to not having any and adjusted your riding style accordingly. Probably best to check if your throttle can be changed to a "slow" one to calm things down.

I have seen Montesa 315R's with very large tanks and also Scorpa do a "Long ride" version of both the 250 and four stroke which have a large tank and a small seat.
-
Anybody tried the Long Exhaust on a 125 as yet??
-
Come across a few people trying to do this but no answer's yet! Somebody will come out with one but we said that about the front tyre on the REV50 and thats still the only one you can get.
-
I did wonder where it came from as you do still see the stuff around. Usually adorning figures more like Mine these days!
-
Just watched last years Domestic Trials Review DVD. Very good footage of a broad set of events. However the saddest thing was watching the "bonus" footage from the 90's! If ever anybody remarks about the 80's being a fashion minefield I think I'll show them this! And couldn't recognise half the riders as they are so young Still Martin Lampkin sounds the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Interesting, anybody any further info?? Also there's a TLR200 still with the road-legal equipment on ebay!

MOst Sherco's (including my Son's) have a sticker on the frame just behind the yoke stating that 98 RON fuel should be used. That is Optimax. Q8 sell 98 RON also but such as BP ultimate and Esso Supreme are 97 RON. I have heard that some Tesco's sell 99 RON fuel but haven't come across it yet. If you really want to push the boat out then check out REAL leaded 4-Star at 99 RON available from a few stations. (Comes from a legal requirement to allow 1% of fuel sales to be leaded for Veteran and Vintage cars and bikes).

Interesting that nobody picked up on the first 4 stroke from GAS GAS?
-
Talked to Charlie Jagger about them a couple of weeks ago. The build should start next month probably with the 250/280 them move on to the 125 and the 200/300. Hence we should start seeing them sometime in late July /August. Personally I'm not sure if the 200 will be continued.
Chris is hoping the 05 125 racing mods are carried to the 06 model.
Translation of page below. (Kitchen maid?????)

Don't know Kinky, looks like the talent's still there, You just need the practice, and you looked like you were still enjoying yourself, You can always ask Chris for tips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We'll be at The YG club trial at Emmotts on saturday. 5PM start so no need to get up early, which given I'll be going to bed at 6AM that morning suits me perfectly.
And jpw watch out for the Beginners at Norwood on the 2nd July mail me with any queries. Hey Stuart whens the next Autotowbars?
-
Hiya Kinky! Chris had this problem on his REV50, and that was the thermostat. I think the part is the same on both bikes and cost
-
Been up there a couple of times recently and it was still open. The MacKenzie will be the first weekend in August and it will be closed for practising. I also understand that there is a Bicycle trial before it sometime in July so watch out for that too!
-
Do you know Ian Waddington? He is running one at the moment and is very pleased with it. Seems to get some good results as well!
-
We have Chris's bike insured for Fire and Theft from the Garage with "Protecta-Bike". Only covers while it is chained up in the Garage.
-
We went to the Weekend one a while back and they will come thru the post. They don't seem to have a web site yet.

You are in Trials country!! If you are in Leeds then the main dealers are,
DMS Trialsport in Flockton(All Makes)
<mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central> Trialsport In Royston(All Makes)
Cobb & Jagger(Ducati Leeds) in Shipley(Gas Gas only)
Pennine Trialsport Nr Saddleworth Moor(sounds far but just off the M62)(Beta,Scorpa)
TW trialsport Near Richmond.
Colin Appleyard at Keighley(Leeds can get them but don't stock).
Couple of other guys around as well. RPM in Sheffield, FeetUp in Scarborough, new guy in York I believe, Haven on The south shore of the Humber.
As Lew says try them out, don't go for the biggest bike or the smallest, go for the one that you can control and are comfortable on. Make sure you like the "feel" of the controls. Most riders have one finger on the levers so make sure you can adjust them so they work properly for you. There are lots of things you'll hear about the different bikes, strengths and weaknesses. But change the Gearbox oil once a month, Check and Clean the air filter, get all the dirt off the bike and chain and oil and adjust the chain and you should be ok. Budget for a couple of broken mudguards and listen to other owners of the same bike to get tips on running them.

You are spoilt for Choice!!!
Yeadon Guiseley, Bradford, Spen Valley, Huddersfield Falcons, Horsforth and West Leeds all run Beginners trials series.
Yeadon Guiseley have one on the 2nd July at 2pm at Norwood between Otley and Pateley Bridge.
www.yeadon-guiseleytrials.co.uk
I can't see when the next Bradford Autotowbars is from the web site but check TMX and the front page they will be posted. StuartC organises them so if you mail him he'll be able to let you know.
www.bradfordtrials.co.uk
Spen Valley have a Beginners at Tong Farm on the 16th July at 1PM. Horsforth also use this venue.
www.spenvalleytrials.co.uk
Horsforth will be running a beginners the previous week on the 10th July at Tong at 11AM.
www.horsforthtrials.co.uk
West Leeds now run a Beginners course on their Club and also run "restricted" Novice and Beginners trials. The main venue is Post Hill which is on the Ring Road in Leeds.
www.wlmc.fsnet.co.uk
At all the above providing you have a ACU licence you can turn up and ride. Most would want you to join to ride but membership isn't expensive and in the case of "restricted" trials providing you are a member of one of those clubs you can ride at the trial.
Huddersfield are an exception and I'm Not Sure Huddersfield have a website? The trials they have require you to enter prior to the day and they will not take entries on the day so you would have to check TMX and send off for an entry form.
Trials are spread out across the region. Around Leeds, Silsden, Otley and Bingley are most popular but the trials are held across the area.
Hope that helps!

Chris has the On & Off "black" kit and he loves it seems a little less "pluckable than his old Tech7 Hebo gear but that has lasted two years of tumbles as well. He also has the On & off gloves which have a little lever grip, very neat. He got his from Pennine Trialsport Who go along to various trials in the Yorkshire centre.
-
Having to get there early to get a section at the moment!
-
Where was Katherine Wardle???
-
Chris is running Novice or clubmans in Yorkshire centre, Middle course at Eboracum and Novice elsewhere. He's in his first "B" class year. Still able to run Beginners as he moved classes this Year but he'd getting a bit too good. I'm looking at the local national's next year and see how he does.
