  1. Many thanks to the Senior riders who gave up their evening to coach the Beginners and Youngsters who turned out to Dob Park and to Mike And Brian for the use of the land. I think I can say that everybody really enjoyed themselves!
  2. Looking at the report in TMX James was too young to compete until recently. As soon as he was old enough he was entered.

    Sherco 80

We were going to get one but got fed up of waiting and bought a REV50 instead. The UK version has the 125 frame but the small wheels. We did see one being used to compete but it was a little unwieldy. The weight and size of the frame made it difficult for the lad using it to keep control. Might be better for larger kids tho. Espcially as we were told that the larger wheels could be fitted.
  4. I think the sticker is an EU one stuck inside the Helmet.

Well done to all the riders who seemed to enjoy it all! As for the threat to No 4 to get on with it within 3 minutes at the first section or they would give him a "10". He still finished the course as one of the last riders but did rather well!
  7. Quote from a Serving Trafpol "If it was private land then i really dont see a problem if there is permission from the landowner. Its not a road or part of a road so therefore not covered by the RTA '88. Dont know whethwer or not you would need some sort of public liability Ins or not tho" The RTA refers to open areas accessible by vehicles. If the Field is gated it isn't covered.
  8. Keep trying myself but nothing there or at ACU. If the results arrive in the post I will put them on the Site. Had this problem last year too!
  9. Approx 25mins Stuart and there were no flags as I passed the Junction at least 4 times. I believe the reason there was nobody there was that You were short of Observers for that trial. Oh and that was not the first of your trials that the flags were missing for.
  10. Now this would get you anywhere with a trials bike! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...&category=29756
  11. I'll Ask about James next Wednesday.
  12. Seen VicX at the last couple of Eboracum trials (we're doing the "c" class there). She did say She had been a bit busy! Will remind Her to post again. Oh by the way make sure you know where you are going! Last Bradford I tried to get to didn't have any flagging from the main road. By the time I had figured it out they was nobody to take an entry.
  13. Let me ask this elsewhere because it sounds like he was being a Pr@t. Well got a reply from a Trafpol seems he could have been wrong. Private land is not covered by the Road Traffic Act. Usually Public liability insurance is only required if You are PAYING for the pleasure of using the land or an organised event is taking place in which case the landowner is responsible. However if you keep checking this thread you might get a more definitive answer. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.a...=94188&f=10&h=0 The guys to watch for are Tonyrec(already answered), xxplod, Gone and Silverback Mike.
  14. Guy currently doing Yorkshire trials with a Corsa Combi the boxy thing. Gets a GasGas 70 and a Beta Rev 50 in it! Bets of all The Marks 1's strart at
  15. Maybe James rides where his sponsors tell him???
  16. Cos you can get much closer that's why! Its also very easy to talk to the riders and providing you don't pester them going into or in a section they are glad to chat back. Not many sports you can do that in let alone get to the best in them.
  17. What will probably mix things up in the indoor will be the 4Stroke. Who ever adapts faster???
  18. Soryy ishy re using the old one isn't an option as the sticker tore when the guard snapped. I have glued it down to keep it watertight tho. I wanted him on the Beta but no He wanted the Sherco cos it wheelies better!
  19. He's still in "c" class for this year. Hoping to get to some of the nationals. He'll be doing the "Local" rounds (Mansfield, Richmond and Eborcoram) but having to see about the rest. At the moment I carry the bike on a Dave Cooper so am worried about getting to Wales, Kent and the Isle of Wight. If I can arrange a Van or Camper then thats another matter.
  20. Ok So my lad broke his read mudguard. I have repaired it with Ty wraps and Supaglue and its pretty water tight. OK i need a new one for when it totally breaks. I buy the Mudguard but the Sticker isn't fixed. We'll have one next week. I do say I would like the 125 sticker to complete it as it will be the "Show" guard. Sticker arrives and I pick it up. Not only is their no 125 sticker but it turns out a "lozenge" is missing with the "SH" on is not there either! Phones back up. Oh the seat sticky is extra! and the heat shield is extra too. Point is If you get a new guard you want ALL the stickers. Why do they sell u it in bits! Just sell a Sticker kit with it all in!! It's not like you can take the others off without destroying them. Its really Bl@@dy annoying and so obvious it just makes you wonder if its worthwhile!
  21. Seeing as nobody seems to have them Posted and the local paper printed them here they are A Class 1 - L Sampson Beta 21 2 - A. Wigg Gas Gas 22 3 - M Brown Beta 28 B Class 250cc 1 - M Jones 23 2 - B Regan 30 3 - N Crellin 31 B Class 125cc 1 - R Danby 24 2 - J Challinor 27 3 - R Andrews 27
  22. Seems the answer is the 4x4 Van. If u can find one cheap enough for your budget The Pickups just don't have the height and the Defender hasn't the length. The Transit County is about but you are talking
  23. We have a Rover 25 1.6 with a Dave cooper which manages the Sherco 125 but the added weight would take the rack over the limit. It would make the handling awkward as well. I can feel the lighter front end even when I raise the rear tyres 5PSI. Strange thing I still can't put the plastic "bung" in to the front wheel end as the Sherco isn't long enough to extend the arm out!
  24. One of the Dads at Yeadon Guiseley's Small Wheels has just moved from a Sherco 50 to a Beta Rev 80.The Sheco went in his Peugeot 309's boot but the new Rev has to go in front wheel between the front seats back seat down and strapped in usinf the seat beat anchors (I think). Given the hatch is open its a bit of a chilly ride!
