  1. Thanks all - may give it a miss this time. The price of a new one is making my eyes water - if anyone has a 2000 rear guard gathering dust - i'm your man. Cheers - Caddabs.
  2. Hi - there is a 2002 Sherco being broken up on ebay - does anybody know if the 2002 plastics (rear guard) will fit a 2000? Cheers - Caddabs
  3. I've got a 290 too and having read these links i'm wondering if its underpowered? Its responsive, but not scary. I was expecting the wheel in my face all the time, but its not a problem. Have re-packed the exhaust for a bit more go - starting to wonder if the timing might be out, although perhaps i should keep it a softie. Just go easy on the throttle and stick with it.

    Clutch Drag

Can anybody offer some advice please as i am new to the world of hydraulic clutches. I have a 2000 290 which has some clutch drag. Its fine when its good and warm, but when its just started its a bit of a handful ! I have changed the oil (450ml - what a pain that was!), but that doesnt seem to have helped. Is this usual for a Sherco? Can i adjust it out at the handlebar end? May be a dumb question, but i have never had a hydraulic clutch before and am not sure how to adjust them. Having stuck Mr Jarvis through a hedge trying to find nuetral, i am quite keen to sort it out. many thanks - Caddabs
  6. can anybody please tell me what time the Raydon trial starts? thanks , Caddabs
  7. Thanks for that - will see if i can get to it and get a feel for how bad i am ! Cheers - Caddabs
  8. Hi - i have just bought a 2000 290 and removed my rear mud guard to check the filter and noted that from the rear the rear sub frame arm that holds the mudguard is a different shape to the part that holds the exhaust pipe, and i wonder if its had a clout? The left (from the rear) is almost square, whereas the right (exhaust side) is a smooth arc. should they be the same ? Cant seem to find a photo anywhere of the rear that would help me. The mudguard is on the skew, but i assumed that its because it has the inevitable creases in it. Anyone know of a source for them too? I dont want to pay
  9. Hi - thanks for the reply. No i havnt entered anything yet, or joined a club. I am riding at Kelvedon Hatch at the moment and am very rusty as i have been a long time off of a trilas bike and things have certainly moved on since my old Sherpa. Maybe if i get better i will sign up - but having watched some of the guys at Kelvedon - i have a long way to go ! If you know of anywhere a little more local to ride that would be fantastic. Best wishes - Caddabs
  10. Hi - does anyone know where i can get some touch up paint for my blue tank? or else the colour code so i can order some. Have some deep scratches (not my doing!) which could do with a tidy up. Many thanks - Caddabs
  11. Hi - just got back into trials after a spell on the scary roads and a long break. Got myself a 290 Sherco which i am very pleased with. Hope to see you on the trails trail sometime - Cheers Caddabs.
