  1. Never Happen, Tim. 2S were a world of fun back in the 70's but now due to a politically correct world society, it's doubtful we will ever see them again. Except, in a specialized life of Trials and possibly a return to moto-x, and enduro.
  2. After seeing so many people offended by traditional Bull fighting in Catalonia, it looks like this could be the end of an era. Myself, I think those long endured sports should be kept alive by those who wish to attend. If other animal activists are offended, they don't have to watch or take part. In the U.S., Bull fighting has never taken place, to my knowledge. Americans can travel to Mexico to view this sport, if they wish, as I did when I was a child. In America, we have our own breed of animal activists, PETA, (people eating tasty animals), and they cause enough trouble here, from, burning stores and establishments, to ruining the character of people who choose to wear fur coats. I say, live and let live.
  3. My guess is, that next year with the re-introduction of the 1 liter, MotoGP will be greater and more exciting than ever. What's not to like?
  4. Casey Stoner once again showed us his prowess today in Aragon. After starting on pole, he only managed a third place after the start of the race. Did you notice how short a time it took him to pass Dani, then Ben? How spectacular was that, to finish the race 6 seconds in front of his team mate for the win. We could have a new world champion here, again.
  5. Could this all be true for the young Australian? Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, and put distance between himself, Jorge, Dani, Dovi, Marco and others. I may be getting my hopes up half way through the season, but if he pulls ahead of the pack like he did in the Czech repulic, this could be the final nail in the coffin for the others. Is Casey the Superman he appears to be?What say You?
  6. Hi Mate, This too sounds like a classic symptom of a blown head gasket. the reason why it died eventually is because the coolant overwhelms the fuel mixture, and wins out. You would be well advised to look for a coolant leak into the cylinder.
  7. Hi Mate, It sounds like a classic symptom of a blown head gasket.
  8. The Czech GP should remove all doubt about Casey's ability to be 2011 Champion. I will admit, after seeing him struggle a bit during free practice sessions, and he himself said the bike had a certain amount of chattering that could not be worked out, I was skeptical weather or not we would be on the podium this week. However, after starting third on the grid, behind lil' Dani, and Jorge, two of the fastest hole shots in the business, Casey, once again put on a spectacular show of clean sportsmanship to not only lead, but to open a 5 plus second lead over team mate Dovi, to win the race and prove to the world, he really does deserve to be 2011 premier class Champion.
  9. Andy, the most important thing now that the bike is running is: bolt the CDI unit to a good clean grounded position. Hope that is helpful.
  10. That would sound like twice the clearance needed. i.e., 1mm=.039"
  11. Tim, rockyrider here. I'd love to have a copy of Lane's book also. I have been searching for Bernie's book for a long time, and I know it's almost impossible. Thank You in advance for any help you can provide. p.s. Please remember us this year with Santa putting out the fire from the roof top.
  12. If someone or group had a plan for traveling to this years TDN to support our riders, I'd like to know about it.
  13. From the looks of things, Dani Pedrosa will not be a threat to Casey, or be in contention for the MotoGP title, as he came in dead last today in FP1. It's a shame this has happened to him. On the other hand, Marco, (the hair bear), has not seemed to advance himself much in points standing, despite his over aggressive style and FP1 win today. Vale's bike problems, including pushing both bikes back to the paddock, does not seem to fair well for another GP championship this year. Nicky Hayden, although fairing better than he has in most recent years, is doubtful to bring the Ducati to a podium on their home track. For the Honda Team, this leaves Dovi. He has two podiums this year, and looked very strong today in free practice. He could be the wild card, and possibly a runner up to the championship, along side his fellow countryman, Jorge Lorenzo. Ben Spies did very well in clean air last week, his first GP win ever. But can he keep up the pace as needed for the rest of the season. Interestingly, he was able to keep Casey at bay, where Jorge could not. Tomorrow's FP3 and QP will be the decider, as today's FP2 was rained out. We will see if either of the Italian Stallions will bring it home to their Countries track, to contend Casey Stoner on Sunday's Premier Event.
  14. I'm not sure the 'r', resistor plug will make any difference. Give it a go, mate.

  17. Is Casey Stoner on his way to win the 2011 MotoGP Title now like I think he is? I know we are only about 5 races through the season, but Casey has come back from that unfortunate mistake by his former team mate with as much confidence and style as anyone could imagine. Let's face it......Honda rules this year. (I've never owned one}, but, the Yamaha's ridden by Jorge, and Ben, just have not displayed the Ponies (HP),that the Honda's have. With a line up like Casey, Dani, Dovi, and yes even.....Marco, comment refrained, there does not look like any other Manufacturer has a chance. Forget about Ducati. Does any one have a different take on this matter?
  18. Keefa, a VIN number contains 17 didgits. The tenth didgit is the year. Hope that was helpful.
  19. Dave, I am a fairly new rider too, I have a 2010 Sherco 250 that has been totally reliable. From what I see, the Sherco's are tops in reliability. I am told that the 250's are easier to ride, and have more low end traction. I'm glad I have one, just based on my experience level. P.S. Chris, at the Splatshop, has helped me out very well with basic supplies and accessories at a reasonable price.
