griffiths of wales
Fellow Seeley owners....Just completed my 1st trial since fitting a bigger carb to my bike...huge improvement in performance. The bike now revs out much better, pulls away from low revs much smoother and idles at a steady rate. Fitted a larger carb (from a CB250 twin I believe..pics to follow may confirm), had to drill a hole through the tank and weld in a tube to route the throttle cable through (pic to follow). The new carb is about 15mm taller than my original hence the mods. I also had to slim down the connection block to about 8mm so that I could use the original rubber connector to the airbox. This really has improved the bike no end (I'll hurry up and get the pics posted) Cheers all, Mark.

muddytires
What size motor do you have? 200 ,250? And what size carb did you install? I have just finished building a tlr200 and seems to need a better carb. It has a small 22mm carb stock.
andy m
I have seen the 200 motor running well with a XR75 carb as well.
griffiths of wales
The motor capacity is as original (198 cc)..the carb I fitted is a Kehin PW22. Best of luck with yours.
mcman56
The Reflex (TLR200 ish) will respond to a bigger carb. Stock is 22 mm but a 24 mm was available. It looks the same but the oval bore of the carb is just taller. I do not know what model the 24mm came on but have modified a few 22mm carbs to match. It gives a significant improvement at the top of the power band with no change below.
