twinshockdude
all you need is a friend with a lathe,or take it to your local engineering work shop.i did one recently,it only took 20 minutes. you must make sure it is perfectly true or you will end up with lots of vibration!!! bascello
ok, but how much material i have to remove? how many millimeter? in the inside or outside of the flywheel?
ned1
hmmmm wont douing this make the engine spin faster? and also this cant make the bike that much lighter so whats the point?
the addict
Ned, it will make the engine respond quicker (more lively) not make it spin quicker, some people like the bikes to pick up quickly over slower responses to opening the throttle

the addict
Ned, the gasser may already have a weight you can take off first before removing any material, or you may be able to buy a lighter flywheel for your bike. bascello
Hi, i have to remove the red marked area? Edited August 31, 2006 by bascello
anotherfatbastard
Hi, i have to remove the red marked area? I have done this mod and it is worth it. Just to give a little more info, each 1mm you take off is 60 grams and the 12mm would be 720 grams. I personally took off 10mm and it kept the bottom end grunt but excelled the reving speed and access to the power.
