atomant
Not sure who to ask so.... As there is no US round next year and we enjoyed ourselves (and the company) at the TTC, would it be possible for Team Danby to make a flying visit to the US and Ross ride in one of your nationals as a guest? Ideally when theres at least a 2 day event or something? we could stay there for a week and then ride at the weekend. We would need a bike but we would take our own engine (125cc) and other parts? If possible then I just need some dates and locations to see if we can sort it out? The TTC is a great venue and if we can tie it up there then that would be great ! Many thanks Ian

atomant
Come on Ian, You know you're welcome to stay-travel with us. The schedule should be out soon. Many thanks Craig but do we need any special paperwork / licences / insurance etc etc. Is a 125 up to the PRO line?
city trials
All you need is a AMA card and money. No rules prohibiting a 125 in Pro class. As you already know, Dale Malasek at Gas Gas USA is a great help for you Gas Gas riders.

mich lin
It would be interesting to see how a 125cc bike goes in the US Pro class.
atomant
It would be interesting to see how a 125cc bike goes in the US Pro class. Yeah, the only concern is you tend to have rev/splat as a main feature to your trials and if so then the 125 will struggle for sure if they are silly so Im hoping if its along the lines of the TTC then it may be possible. Does Pat yet have any experience of riding 125 on the PRO line or if not, does he think it would be possible? otherwise he can ride the EXPERT route but riding the PRO line is what we want to aim for if its possible. copemech
I think you may find that in a common US Pro event there may be several sections with big walls, undercuts and splatters that would be beyond the 125 ability to do. That is one reason Pat and Cody had to move up to the big bikes. They are both big boys as well which makes matters worse. The 2.5's can do it though. I'm sure Craig can ask Pat's opinion on this to confirm, or Ross can go try some 2-3 meter walls with a short run just to see. I recall a 2 meter undercut ledge with 1 meter downhill run and no kicker in OK last year! It would get anyones attention! Typically Dan B. has the rental bikes around TTC that you could drop the 125 motor into and I am sure you would be more than welcome to. The lodge is available, at what price I do not know, you should ask him. The TTC National event usually comes around first part of April, before it gets too hot! So school is an issue as well. Hope that gives you something to go on, bring Alexz as well!

alan bechard
Pulling your chain a bit Atom,,, Would it therefore be possible to just let the kids who want to ride 125's compete in the same class as kids riding bigger bikes riding the same route. Going by the results we are seeing, its clearly no major advantage being on a bigger bike it seems when you have the skill and talent that these lads have? I say you put him on the 125 and let him go. It will accurately benchmark things no matter how it works out, and no loss to Ross as he would not be in the "series" anyway, kind of like a very formal practice session for him no matter how you toss it. dbrown
Hi guys, The 2007 national schedule will be set at the NATC meeting the last weekend in October. We will offer to host a 2-day national round at TTC, probably in April/May time frame. We would be delighted to have Ross Danby and any of the other young riders come over for a time and will help arrange bikes however we can. If you guys can make it over any time during the off-season we'll make you welcome here. dan
