the addict
Just learning how to do this, always been impressed how the top lads do it so easily and how much of an advantage it can give you if you can master it. Ralph is like a f****ng kangeroo at it and will always go up the last 10-20 foot of any climb hopping even if it means giving away a dab at the top. One of those skills that will take ages to get good at and really hard on the arms and legs but great fun to do.

the addict
Kinell, yer seen those thanks, nice to see them again though. I am going to persevere at it for a while as it is a great feeling when you get 5-7 in one go up a hill and can turn a loss of traction up a hill into a clean

ralph
Kinell, Cheers for them.My wife calls those type of clips my porn.If i am looking at DVD of trials and a mate comes in she say's he's in there looking at his porn.Far better than porn that clip of Freixa.Nice Very Nice. Betarev3 did you think that was me on a Mont (I wish) That is just sex of Freixa. The wife did not like being woken and dragged down stairs to see him doing that. But i enjoyed it again. the addict
Freixa's got nothing on you, he does nt load the suspension like you do and makes sure the last hop is a 90 degree flick turn

toofasttim
Where or how do you even start to practice hopping?

fordson major
I've only just learnt how to hop a bit on hills but to be able to do them on flat ground is amazing as you have to use the back brake as well. It's one of those things that you can be told how to do time and time again but actually putting it into practice Probably one of the most frustrating skills to learn
the addict
Your right Beta120690, will take ages to get good at it, find it easier to do on a slight slope with the back brake though, remember practicing wheelies years ago, took agaes as well and one day you can suddenly do it as if you always have done. Think the hopping will be the same, practice, practice cant do it and then one day the timing will come and it will be easy or near to it
fordson major
endo'ing the back wheel and flick turns are so much easier to learn but being able to pogo the bike on it's back wheel looks better Edited September 1, 2006 by Beta120690
