beaver
We have travelled to every one of the C and D British Rounds - barring Surrey which fell on the same day as a Scottish Championship. We try not to think about the time it takes to get to an event because, if we did, we would never go! We have 4hrs drving BEFORE we even get to Glasgow (Allan, I think you can do it in 2hrs). For example, our mileage to the Kent round and home again was 1384 miles. Having said that, we go because we enjoy it and our boys enjoy it. We meet up with friends and generally have a good laugh. Maybe now, Big John will realise that sometimes a motorhome is not just used for "keeping up with the Jones's". Ours is definitely a workhorse. It does seem ironic however, that a man with 20+ bikes in the garage is questioning others on their reasons to purchase whatever they wish! Jordy and Calum would like to thank all the clubs for their tremendous efforts this year. We all appreciate how much time and effort goes into organising these events and that we, as competitors, have the easy job of turning up and riding. Also, thank you to all of the observers as without you, there would be no trials.
beaver
OK, maybe it was a bit personal, but three motorhome owners in Scotland took your comments very personally. Colin.......(equally Broad Shoulders)
telecat
Its funny really. For the Local Novogar and Adult National events nobody worries about parking. At a Youth A/B there are probably over

as iow
Coming from the IOW we try to get as many bikes & people in one van as we can, this makes it cheeper to travel, but mainland people don't seem to do this for some reason. It's much better for the kids on long trips if they have a friend to travel with as well. I know that in the 70's the top Yorkshire riders used to travel to Europe together. Its a lot more fun but the down side of this of course is when someone (AG IOW) farts in the van at night.
