sirdabsalot
I also have an 05 300. If I twist the throttle even a little when trying to start, it won't. Don't touch the throttle! Cheers, Richard
beta123
I have the same problem with my 05 300 gas gas - is yours fixed? how did you do it?
sherpa325
In 05 I swapped from a sherco 290 to a 300 pro and experienced the same starting problems, my friend however [a long time pro owner] could start it first kick hot or cold. It took me a while to work it out but I finally figured NO THROTTLE as you kick[and you need a decent kick] as the kick start stops and the motor starts to spin open the throttle a small amount and it should fire every time. Head spacer does make it easier to kick over if thats your problem Hope this helps
bri8617
been on to gasgas uk about this ,they recommended altering the float height from 18.5 mm which is standard down to 17mm .this should sort out starting problems when the bike is hot ... hope this helps
bikespace
One of our bunch borrowed a Gasser 300 for the Manx 2 day. He had a mare starting it. Every time I get on this bike it starts first time. It is totally down to the size of the right leg. I'm sure the other things would help to make it easier, but it may just be that it needs a bigger kick.
