Andy
An online fundraiser has been started in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance who took Richard to hospital. A very worthy cause.
slapshot 3
Agree, show wouldn't be the same without him. He's in the best hospital on the planet, that's from experience. We lost a couple of kids (Mrs S has a few problems carrying sprogs) just after we got wed but I got posted to North Yorks and Mrs Slapshot got pregnant again (much to my concern....her health was at risk). She ended up in the same hospital as Hamster, I now have a 13 year old female brat despite the fact she weighed only 1lb 14oz when she was born (880 gms for the Kilo brigade) 15 weeks premature.... Hamster is in the best hospital there is with the best Medics and researchers anywhere. Get well soon Richard The guy is a biker as well..... cota kid
I see that top gear have already replaced Richard Hammond with Lily Savage. Evidently a better drag act. Jokes aside it sounds like he has a good chance of a full recovery, which is good news.
toofasttim
Oh for gawds sakes: "An HSE spokesperson said on Friday its officers were focusing on the events that led-up to the incident - the planning for the dragster dash, the risk assessment undertaken and whether Hammond received any special training with jet-powered cars. " Yeah right, theres a place at the bottom of Hammonds road that offers training in jet powered cars. Political Correctness is getting stupid. Nonetheless, get well soon hamster. Not many people have crashed at 300mph and lived.
