sir dabs alot
I'm considering a trip with the wife next year to the UK. I thought it would be nice to check out some pro trials while visiting. My dad's side of the family is of English decent and my mom's side is of Scottish decent. So maybe the SSDT? Maybe the world round in the UK? Anyway, I'm just fishing for ideas on where to stay what time of year and what events would be most enjoyable. Any ideas would be welcomed. Any advise of where not to stay etc. is also welcomed. Thanks!!! By the way, the wife isn't really into trials, so an all trials visit is out of the question but part of my bargaining strategy is to score a trials fix while visiting. telecat
The World Trials round does not look like it will be at Hawkstone Next year due to problems with the "locals". Hence you may have to wait for that one. Most of the British Nationals should be around the same time next year so it depends where you are in the country. If you want to follow the "classic" trials As well as "Big John"'s excellent suggestion of the SSDT, there's the "Scott" and the Reeth Three Day in the North Yorkshire area. It really depends when you here, where you will be staying and how much time you have to spare.
nigel dabster
World round will be in a central location, and on the specified date, to be conformed within a week or so from the gossip I've heard.
bikespace
I hear rumblings that I may be able to walk to it next time. Am I warm? Obviously with my stature, that makes it under about 600 yards
