dortwilder
I have recently aquired a 1992 Beta Synt 240. Over the last week I have given it a (long overdue) service - i.e. flushed coolant, gearbox oil, cleaned air filter, new plug, carby clean etc. Took the Synt for it's first blast on the weekend. Runs really well. Some steep rocky uphills, creek beds and trails. No overheating issues. Runs smooth. Only problem is after approx 2hrs of riding the engine stalled and would not kick over. Checked spark plug and noticed it was all black, replaced plug and it fired first time. Spark Plug used is NGK BP7ES. Any ideas why the plug would foul? Is this the right plug? I would assume it was carby mixture issue....not sure...any ideas? Thanks in advance Phil
dortwilder
OK, changed plug to a hotter BP6ES and it seems to have sorted it out. See - didn't need your help anyway
