cota kid
Probably like a lot of other people I'm sick to death of receiving junk mail through the post for loans, insurance, you name it. Apart from writing I'm not interested return to sender on it, does anyone have any novel ways of dealing with this annoying and environmentally unfriendly practice. markygas
If there's a pre-paid envelope, then shred the contents and send it back to them! Should cost them a small fortune.
andy m
If you go to your local sorting office I think there is a way they can stop a lot of it. There was a postman in the news a couple of weeks back who printed some flyers off his own back and posted them on his round to inform his customers on how to stop the rubbish, as you can imagine he had a bol****ing. Good luck.
ianj
Hi, Dunno if it works, but I usually take a black marker and write "Return To Sender" across the envelope with an arrow pointing towards the senders address..........then posting back through the nearest post box. Must have done this hundreds of times. If I'm in a bad mood, or drunk I usually add the words "take your junk mail and shove it" Ian. My mum swaps the junk mail around so the insurance companies get free mortgage advice, the mortgage people get half price windows and the window people get cheap insurance It really brightens her day up when she pops the pre-paid envelopes back in the post box
cota kid
I'm going to do all three!!!!!!!!!! But keep them coming.
the addict
Stick something heavy in the pre paid envelope and send it back, half a brick costs them loads to receive it back in unpaid postage, should soon kill off the junk mail, they are all pretty much linked anyway
hop blip and a jump
Cool i'm gonna play them up too, i'm fed up of all the junk!!!! andy m
Trouble is when they realise the postage bill is creeping up, up goes the cost of whatever they are trying to flog in the first place. The man in the street pays in the end. I like the one about Kinells mum swapping all the mail around, fair play to her. As regards the phone calls I just put the phone down, especially Indian call centres. Edited October 10, 2006 by bo drinker
the addict
Phone calls, best way is to indulge them, take about 30-45 minutes with it, they have certain amounts of calls to keep to per hour, makes them miss their targets for the day. pa.
I get loads of junk fax's at work so when there is a local call cost number or better still a free number I fax all the fax's including all those $10,500,000 Nigerian 419 Scammers fax's back to them. I just hope they use a paper fax not a PC too receive them. I have managed to get around 100 pages back to somones machine one day before they hung up their fax. Don't get mad, get even. I pretended to be really interested in there products got loads of info and talked to them for about 3/4 of an hour got really exited about it, then when they asked where i lived so they could give me a quote on the size and stuff for it so when i gave them my address i said "No.7 2nd floor of "The Roselind block" ........". Then p?#s!d myself laughing and just said gotcha and hung up! They havent phoned again or at least i havent answered the phone with them on the end! I'm laughing about it now!
