scorpa3
I have been asked to adjust the valve clearance on a mates 125 and don't know the valve clearance. Can't find it anywhere. Can any one help please? It is a swine to start when cold, I was thinking that the valve adjustment might be a factor in this. Once started it goes first kick, even when it cools down. Leave it for the week and the problem comes back. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks

scorpa3
Thank you very much, I couldn't find it anywhere and didn't want to bother a dealer on a Saturday.
craig10
I use full choke, don't touch throttle when starting. Normally starts with about 2 or 3 prods, can be about a dozen if it's not seen the light of day for a couple of months Takes an age to warm up compared to the 2 strokes, if you touch the throttle before it's warmed up without the choke on it dies. neil king
The yamaha ttr 125 is notoriasly cold blooded. If you adjust the fuel screw so it will run when cold, then it will be rich once it warms up.
