littleblackflash
Hi all I have a 2003 rev3 but I don't seam to be able to hop the rear wheel off the ground as well as others. I'm beginning to think it because I'm 15stone and the rear shock compresses too much when I'm on it. Any ideas how much the suspension should sag with your weight on? My options are to wind the spring platform up and try (looks tight) or loose weight (don't think so) cheers
bob
A little more preload and slightly quicker damping will helpslightly, but it will only want a very small change. It is probably as much your technique if you've not been doing them for long, you just have to bounce the bike as much as possible then chuck your weight forwards, then bend the legs with the brakes on. I find that somehow popping the back wheel off the first bounce with the legs works much better than building up to it. Bob
littleblackflash
Technique has a lot to do with it I know, but I brought he bike off a 8st kiddy who hopped it everywhere. Now I get on it, the bash pan must drop about 2". Is this too much? On the front I have maximum preload on the springs as well, which works well off now for some more pints of gut enlarger Edited October 19, 2006 by littleblackflash
