mik60ish
Try here=http://www.sunbeam-mcc.demon.co.uk/ Hope to get back to the UK next year to ride Bluebeards on the Saturday followed by the Greybeards Sunday the latter being one of the best trials of the year! Let me know how you get on, usually run early September. I have ridden it 3 times in the past!
dan
Where are you based Pipster? There's a Greybeards trial on this weekend (the 29th) in Cornwall. It's run by West Cornwall Motor Club and is at Trevaylor. The phone number listed on the ACU site is for the club secretary Rachel Barker, you can contact her on 01756 788135. I don't think she'll be the event secretary, but she should be able to point you in the right direction.
rabie
"the greybeards" usually refers to the Sunbeam MCC trial run to IIRC the magic Ralph Venables scoring formula, which is run on the Sunday, with the bluebeards on the Saturday down here in the south east. IIRC it was the same weekend as the inter centre team trial. of course there may be other greybeard trials ......

yorky
The Bluebeards and Greybeards are run on the first weekend after the August Bank Holiday. The Bluebeards is run by the Bognor Regis Club (Tony Martin & crew) The Greybeards by The Sunbeam Club, these are two great trials for the overforties the Bluebeards is on enclosed land the Greybeards uses public roads with the start at Steadham near Midhurst. They are both run on a handycap system the older you are the lower your handycap ie if your 40 you have lost 30 marks before you start decreasing for each year after that up to age 70 when you have lost nill over 70 you go into a minus situation. There is a Twinshock class in both trials, hope this helps I have ridden it for the past 12 years and look forward to it every year meeting up with old friends we have got to know over the years.
