sirhc
Right out of high school I went into the family plumbing business. I went through the apprentiship program and at 22 I became a licensed journeymen plumber. That same year I got married and my wife was in her family business which is personnel staffing. After a few years we had kids and with both of us working they where in day care. Not wanting to have somebody else raise our kids we needed to make a change, at the time we made about the same money but her job seemed to have more money in it for the future. So I am now a Stay at home Dad and my wife works. We have been doing this for almost five years now and works great for us. My wife now runs the company and has five offices. It is interesting that I am doing this since I am a total blue collar guy and never even held a baby until mine. I also thought being home all day I would have plenty of time to do stuff, but I can't get anything done weather it be work on the bike or what ever I want to do and some days the kids drive me so nuts that I just want to go back to crawling under houses and fixing pipes, it's all worth it though. I have also joked that we had our last kid so I could have job secerity We have also said that she makes the money and I spend it. A picture of my job.
