sideup
Try heating up and bending back "carefully". Worth a try. Quench in cold water after straighten. Better to bend shifter than break or bend shifter shaft. No aftermarket that I know of. Edited October 30, 2006 by sideup
barrybaines
I`ve bent and rebent one till it fell apart and I lost the end bit but I agree fully with sideup in its better too bend the lever than the shaft! I was lucky enough too find another slightly bent lever from a generous donation and gently re-bent this one and it`s going fine. And mine gets a fair bash from time too time, I will happily re-bend this one untill it too completely fails me. I have seen the odd one or two go on ebay but they seem too fetch nearly
bob
If you have a welder then i suppose it is possible to make up a new one out of some steel then work out some way of bolting it on to whats left of the old one. If you tidy up the welds it could look nice. That's just a passing thought and haven't looked at the lever so there might not be room, just a thought though.
